Chapter Thirty-Three: I've Had A Hard Day

I couldn't get my mind off of what happened. Everything makes sense now.

I was supposed to go to the diner with Grayson after school, how was I supposed to sit there and not tell him anything about what happened? How am I supposed to sit there and pretend like my world wasn't just hit with a train coming 200 miles an hour straight for me?

I was about to turn the corner in the hallway when I stopped to see Olivia kissing Grayson.

This shady bitch. She tells me she likes me then gets mad that I don't like her back so she has to go and kiss my boyfriend for pay back? Seriously?!

I turn around to take the back exit to Grayson's car.

I get out to Grayson's car before he does. I'm not going to bring up that I saw Olivia kiss him because I want to see if he'll bring it up himself, tell me the truth, see if he's loyal. I know that may be a little bad to do, but I want to see.

I stand leaned up against the car as he walks up to me.

" Sorry I'm late. "

" It's fine, but what took you so long? " I asked.

" Mr. Noel stopped me in the hallway to ask if I could help him carry some boxes up stairs, so I did. " Grayson explained.

" Okay, well can we go to the diner now I'm craving some fries. " I smiled.

" Yup. " Grayson smiled.

I could tell he was telling the truth about carrying the boxes, but just leaving out the part when Olivia kissed him. Just Perfect...

We pulled into the diner and walked inside grabbing a booth.

" What can I get for you? " the waitress asked.

" Just a vanilla milkshake and some fries for me please. " I smiled.

" And I'll just a chocolate milkshake and a burger for me. " Grayson smiled.

" Okay I'll bring the milkshakes over first. "

I look out the window still not able to get over everything that happened today.

" You okay? " Grayson asked.

I turn to look at him, " Uh yeah, I'm just thinking. "

" About what? "

" My dad just got a new job I found out last night, he hasn't and a job since the beginning of the school year so I'm a bit worried it's not going to last long. "

I wasn't lying, my dad did get a new job, but that's not that main thing on my mind at the moment.

" I bet he'll do great. " Grayson smiled.

" I hope so. " I sighed.

" You... look like something else is on your mind. "

" I talked to Wyatt at the diner over the break when he was paying, I though things would have started to change, but nothing so I kind of just got my hopes up. "

" At least it's progress. "

" Yeah " I nodded, " But is there anything new going on with you, that you want to tell me? "

Now is your chance bud.

" No nothing really, other than my parents are still mad at Derek for dropping out of collage, and he's been sitting on the couch like a burrito everyday eating chips. It's driving my parents crazy. " Grayson explained.

That is not what I was hopping for.

" Maybe he just needs a girlfriend. " I said, " How about you set him up with Olivia that would be funny, and she would be able to bossy him around to get him out of what ever funk he's in. "

" There is such an age gap there and it's Olivia, who would want to date her since she is so bossy? " Grayson asked.

" That's a good point. " I smiled.

I guess drama class taught him well, he's not even breaking at the sound of her name. Why doesn't he just tell me?

I mean I could for sure say something to him about it, but I'm not in the mood for that right now.

Our food was placed onto the table.

" Thank you. " I smiled.

Food always can make a day better, but in this moment it doesn't. I can't stop thinking about how Olivia kissed Cane because she wanted to be with me. Kissed me because she wanted to be with me and then kissed Grayson because I wouldn't be with her.

Olivia knows I'm straight, she just set herself up for heart break. I'm mad at her, but at the same time I feel bad for her.

Grayson pulled into the driveway of my house.

" So I'll see you tomorrow? " Grayson asked.

" Yup. " I smiled.

Grayson leaned in and kissed me.

I pulled away, " I should get inside my dad probably wants to talk about how nervous he is for his first day at his new work. "

" Uh yeah, okay. " Grayson nods.

" Bye." I smiled as I got out of the car.

I walked inside my house, I leaned my head up against the door.

" You good? "

I look over to see Dale sitting on the couch.

" I've had a hard day. " I said.

" Want to talk about it? " Dale asked.

" Just... what do you do when a train hits you in the face? "

" Um... I don't know where you going with this. "

" Never mind, I'm just gonna go up stairs and think. " I sighed.

I flopped down onto my bed and rolled over to look up at the ceiling.

How am I supposed to get threw school tomorrow knowing that Olivia is Bisexual, I'm the only one that knows and that she kissed my boyfriend and he isn't saying anything about it.

I grab my pillow and scream into it with frustration.

Another short chapter of some what sadness :)
