The two gentlemen approached the door. "Hannibal... Are you sure?" Will muttered under his breath. The doctor didn't answer as he knocked on the door. "Just a second..." A faint voice came from within the apartment. Without any hesitation Hannibal forcefully kicked the door bursting through the brass lock. The apartment was dark and dim. Highly opposite to the other side of town. A short gasp escaped Bedelia's mouth as she stood in shock as Hannibal towered in the doorway looking down on her. "Hello Bedelia" Will poked his head around Hannibal. Bedelia's face dropped. "How is that possible?" Bedelia took a few steps back in awe of who stood before her. "You didn't think I would forget about you, did you Du Maurier?" Hannibal let out a small smile as Will closed the door behind them both. "Have you come to have your fun Hannibal? Do you not sick and tire of the same routine?" Bedelia's eyes filled with tears as she was unable to move from the spot that would foreshorten her death. Hannibal gave a quick glance over to Will. Will's eyes were sad with remorse and guilt as he knew the fate of the psychiatrist. "I'm sorry Bedelia. I warned you." Will muttered. With that Hannibal picked a metal sculpture that sit on the side of a wooden mantelpiece and struck Bedelia in the head with one quick motion. Will stood and watched. Bedelia's body fell to the ground as a final gasp escaped her lips not removing her swollen eyes from Will's. Hannibal placed the statue back on the mantelpiece, making sure to wipe away his finger prints. "Let's go Hannibal" Will gestured to the doctor. "Not just yet" Hannibal Walked towards Will. "We haven't finished yet" Will's body trembled from the warmth of Hannibal's. Will was unsure what to think of Hannibal using the term' we', he quite liked it.
Bedelia's eyes fluttered open to be blinded by bright lights. Dry blood stained the right side of her face. She looked down to see herself dressed in a fancy navy low-cut dress. Something didn't feel right. A meaty smell wafted through the dining room, covering the well-lit, elegantly placed cutlery and other miscellaneous dinning essentials. Faint mumbling came from the kitchen as Bedelia picked up a fork hiding it underneath the table. Bedelia's eyes filled with fear as her hand started to shake. The two men entered. Hannibal carrying a well-cooked piece of meat on a black slate, followed a shy Will carrying a bottle of wine. Without much conversation both men sat down and Hannibal started carving the meat. "Do you expect me to succumb to your games Hannibal? When will it be enough for you?" Bedelia's words stumbled out of her mouth. "If there are no games played Bedelia, then where's the fun in that." Hannibal smirked as he filled Bedelia's glass with wine and her plate with meat. "You'll be needing that fork" Hannibal whispered as he sat back down adjacent to will. "Don't be rude now Bedelia, It's only a spot of dinner." Hannibal exclaimed taking bites of the meat. Will paused as the hot food sat in front of him. He gave a glance to Bedelia, her eyes were fixated on his. Will took a bite and smiled at Hannibal. Bedelia took the glass of wine in one hand and chugged half of the glass whilst keeping her eyes on the doctor. With a slight pause, "How long do we wait?" Will looked over to Hannibal. "Just a few seconds". Hannibal put down his knife and fork and wiped his mouth. Bedelia looked confused at both men before her limbs went weak and her eyes slowly closed. The whole room felt dim as both men stared at the lifeless body slumped at the table. "How do you feel Will?" Hannibal stood up and walked over to Will whose eyes were still glued to the corpse.
"Am I supposed to feel something?" Will said averting his eyes to Hannibal's. Hannibal thought about his answer for a second. "No... You don't have to feel anything if you don't want to." Hannibal said gently, as he could see that Will was in slight shock. "Come on... Let's go home." Hannibal exclaimed. "What about this?" Will questioned looking back down at the table. "Everything will be taken care of." Hannibal gave Will an assuring nod and both men left the apartment and headed home.It was dark and misty outside. The town was quieter tonight and less lit as fewer people walked the streets. Will held his head down, ashamed to be seen. "Will..." Hannibal said lightly and Will lifted his head to meet Hannibal's gazed as both men walked down the lonely path. "Do you trust me Will?" Hannibal questioned as he looked off into the night. "If I didn't trust you Hannibal I would not be with you right now." Will proclaimed. "Hold your head high, so I can see your face. You don't have to worry when you are with me." Hannibal said still looking out into the night. A warm feeling spread through Will and both men carried on home.
