(3 days before Aj's birthday)

Aj's pov-

I woke up the next morning and I was alone. Ricky wasn't next to me. I walked into the kitchen and found a note.

Aj,

Hey babe, had to go to the studio early. Don't know when I'll be back. Love you with all my heart. ~Ricky

I sighed and stayed in my pajamas all day.

Ricky's pov (earlier that morning)-

I left the note on the counter and grabbed my keys. This will be very fun. I walked into the pet store and went immediately to the cats. I know Aj loves cats. Chris told me she had a cat when she lived with her parents. I looked at all the cats, and one in particular, caught my eyes. It was a tiny girl kitten, all black cat with piercing blue eyes. This is definitely the one. The worker came and opened the cage and put the cat on a leash. I bought the cat and drove to Chris's house. He said he'd take care of the cat till her birthday. I got there and picked the kitten up and walked up to the door and rang the door bell. I held her in my arms and stroked her soft fur. Chris opened the door.

"Aweeeeee!! I wuv da kitty!" he said gently taking her from me as he stroked her fur.

"Yeah. I really hope she likes it" I laughed.

"Dude she'll love it." he said looking at me.

"You really think so?" I asked.

"She's been my sister all my life. I know what she likes. She'll LOVE this though." he said emphasizing the 'love'. I laughed and said good bye and went off to look for more gifts for her.
