Third POV

Iris was shocked. Her eyes were brimming with tears. But she let her in, bowing her head. The girl walked swiftly and gracefully to the kitchen, plopping down on a chair. "Aaliyah." Mrs. Hawthorne said, her stubby legs padding down the stairs. "Is that you?" She said once again. "Yes mother." Aaliyah groaned out. Iris sneakily and quietly sat down, being silent as the things were said between the two people.
They both moved to the table, Mrs. Hawthorne having some trouble. "So..." Mrs. Hawthorne began, her enormous hands making movements along with her words. "Iris, dear, this is my daughter, whom ah, how do I break this to you. She will be your bride to be." Iris was shocked, to say. Her hands were shaking furiously as she stared at the beauty sitting across from her at the table. "O-okay. Excuse me please." Iris said, swiftly standing from her seat and scurrying up the stairs. She went to the restroom and washed her face once again, the realization crashing down on her quickly.
"Oh dear me." Iris said, sighing and descending back down the stairs. Her footsteps were light and made no noise as she walked back to the dining room and stay down. "Iris, one more thing has to be said. Aaliyah will be staying in a house with you. Alone." Iris once again was shocked. This was too much for her in one day. She felt as if it was a dream. Her pale hands started trembling as she stared at Aaliyah. Her eyes closed before they opened, her aura completely calm.
"Iris, follow me for a moment." Iris's father said, looking quite desperate. Iris gave in too quickly for her liking and got up, following her father out of the room and to the hallway.
"Iris dear, please do this. It could help with your future, and we know you can't do it by yourself. Please do this." He said, his pleasing made Iris think. She knew what he said was true, but Aaliyah was rude and stubborn. Iris knew that for sure. Iris sighed. "Okay Father." She murmured, bowing her head. "It'll be okay." He said before leading her out of the room.
She sat back down at the table alongside her father. "I have taken this arrangement into consideration. I will take up this offer and get to know Aaliyah and see where it goes from there." Iris's normally soft voice cracked at the end. "Okay dear, go get ready." Mrs. Hawthorne said. Aaliyah looked ready to stab the table as It's walked up the stairs. Thirty minutes later Iris came back down with everything she needed. Her jewels, clothes, books, medicine, and really everything that was in her room. Her father carried it to the car, of course, since Iris was fragile.
"Bye father." Iris said, almost in tears as her father hugged her. "Text me if you need anything." He said, waving her a farewell as the car descended. Aaliyah was driving, her grip firm on the steering wheel. "We have to share a room." She said. Iris nodded, turning her head to look at the trees, houses, and signs going by as the car was in motion.
After a forty five minute ride they arrived at the house. There was nothing that overdid the house that much, but Iris felt as if she didn't belong there. One by another, she lugged her things inside, Aaliyah not being much help with the amused stare of her bright blue eyes.
After another thirty minutes, Iris finally managed to get everything inside and upstairs to her own bedroom. Iris was surprised that she got her own bedroom and therefore was pleased when she was able to unpack her things. Iris saw Aaliyah walk past her bedroom a few times, and noticed Aaliyah never looked at her once.
Sighing after hard work, she plopped down on her comforter and closed her eyes, inhaling a breath of fresh air. She kicked off her black flats and untied her hair before falling into a light sleep.

•|[Special POV From Aaliyah]|•

I watched Iris fall back into her comforters with a sigh. I chuckled silently and quietly went to my room. It wasn't packed with things. Simple and complete. The walls were a sky blue, the white carpet floor, and my desk was in the corner. My bed was off to the side and my wardrobe was set next to my television. Just as I planned. I quite quickly grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a tank top before walking to the bathroom.
I turned on the shower and stripped from my sweaty tee-shirt and jeans before stepping in. Afterwards I changed into the clothes I grabbed and went to check on Iris. I saw her asleep in her day wear and sighed. I closed her door and went back to my room to crash for the night.
