Niko grabbed a rainbow frosted cake that had Andy Samburg (My celebrity crush) printed on top and had the words "It's a Happy Birthday Heist!" printed on it. I wasn't exactly sure f he was kidding or not.
"What did you take from my bedroom!" I teased him. He gave me an adventurous smirk.
"You'll just have to find out," I was training to be a detetcive, well, and an animator but that's not important right now. I could figure out his scheme. I cautiously took a bite of Andy Samburg's beautiful face and contemplated. Lemon, the cake had a lemon flavour. Lemon..
"I know where to go." I dragged Talyn, Jake, Niko, Delilah, and Rosa into Niko's truck. "Niko, you're driving, I'm pretty sure the rest of us already had some alchohol. Take me to 42 Wyndham Dr." Niko put it into his GPS and started driving, I probably got it right, because he had a huge smile on his face. We arrived at a small, blue, ranch house.
About a year ago there had been two kids running a tiny lemonade stand at this house, I talked with them and their names were Gabe and Isabell. Their mother was trying to sell the house and move to another house closer to her work. They could barely afford the house they had, let alone the one closer to Savanna. The kids were so sweet, they were using the money to help their mom, I felt bad and wanted to help. I got 2 glasses of lemonade and sat down with Niko, talked to him about giving them some money.
"You are a truly good person, Mason." And then he gave me a kiss, our first. Our first kiss.
There was an empty lot across the street that the kids had had set up kiddie tables, that must be where he's hiding something. There was a folded half heart in the middle of the lot, i picked it up. I didn't have time to unfold it before I heard voices.
"Mason Paline, you're under arrest for robbery!" The voice said.
"What did I steal?" I questioned, not even sure if this was part of Niko's plan.
"Open the card." I did as was commanded, I opened up the folded heart.
Niko's Heart
Woah. That was super cheesy.
"Turn around, hands behind your head." I turned around and I saw Niko in a NYPD outfit with a taser. He got down on one knee. Oh shit. He opened the top of the "taser" and there was a beautiful ring.
"Mason Paline, will you become the next Cardine, Will you marry me?" My heart had stopped. I-I don't know what to do. I'm only 17, I'm not ready for this kind of commitment, not to mention the problems that I've been having internally with him. But if I say no, will he ever forgive me? What about when we both move, could I handle being 17 and married? Would my parents approve? I'm leaving in a few days, I don't know what to do.
"I-I... I can't." I walked away rather quickly, trying to avoid confrontation. I looked back for just a moment, Niko didn't look sad, He didn't look mad. He looked like when your parents are dissapinted in you, or like "So be it." I had a friend who lived in this neighborhood , so I thought I'd walk there. Call mom or Rachel to have them pick me up.
