Chapter 2: New Beginning's

After getting home and crying almost my whole way there. I sat on my bed and thought about my past with him. But I can't let it get to me.

So I called my best friend to come over.

Once Maria finally got here we got some drinks and sat and talked.

"So he's like really your boss now?" Maria asked and I nodded. "Wow, that must be terrible." She said

"It kind of is. I mean he did tell me he wants to keep it professional while at work, and act as if it never happened." I said and Maria's eyes grew wide.

"What. How could you even act as if something like that never happened?!" Maria said angrily.

"I don't really even know. Anyways shouldn't our food be here by now?" I asked

Maria checked her phone then got up to get more drinks

"Hey... do you want another?" She asked

*door bell rings*

"I'll get it and sure." I said as I opened the door.

I opened the door and was surprised and shocked to see Aaron.

"Listen Mia, I know this is unexpected for me to show up like this but can we talk?" He said

Maria over heard and came to the door. "What are you doing here? You need to leave." She said to Aaron

"Nice to see you too Maria. Listen can we please talk alone?" Aaron said

"Fine. Hey Maria we are gonna go outside to talk, text me when food gets here." I said, Maria nodded and I shut the door and walked out with Aaron.

*outside*

"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked. He sat down on the bench and I sat next to him.

"I'm sorry for today. I didn't mean to make you cry and leave. I just want our personal lives to not get in the way of business." He said

"I understand that Aaron but you told me to forget everything that happened between us. I can't just forget something like that. You hurt me, and I didn't even know what to do with my life after that day." I said and started to get teary eyed.

"Don't cry Mia, I'm so sorry." Aaron said as he reached to grab my hand.

"Don't touch me." I said as I pulled my hand away and started to stand up.

Aaron grabbed my arm.

"Aaron let go!" I shouted

"No. Mia listen to me. I didn't mean to do what I did. I especially didn't mean to do it on our wedding day."

Aaron let go of me and I sat down and started crying. Again.

"Mia, I just want you to know I am very sorry about what I did and how badly it hurt you." Aaron said standing up to leave.

"Aaron. Please don't leave me." I said, he came back and sat down next to me rubbing my back.

"Listen, Aaron I get that you don't want things to be awkward while at work. But why did you even hire me then?" I asked

"I didn't. I don't even have anything to do with who gets hired. Well maybe a little but I don't really pay much attention like I should." He said

"Well before you leave want to come up and have a drink? I mean you deserve it after seeing my ugly face." I said kinda giggling

"You're not ugly. You're the most beautiful woman I know. And I would love to have a drink, as long as Maria doesn't do anything stupid." I smiled and we walked back up to my apartment.
