Team Natsu doesn't want to go do a job. What am I going to do now? I'm bored. I know. Why go to a team job while I can go to a solo job. I went to the board with all the job and saw an intresting one. Helping an old man for one day and I get one thousand jewels and a special magic object. Fun!!! I went back to the bar to see Mira and presented her what job I'll take. She accepted and we said our goodbye. I went to the address which was in Magnolia, thank god. I did some chores, some cooking, some feeding, some walking and a little bit of grocery shopping which was fun, actually. At the end of the day, he gave me the money and the special object.

"Here is the special object, Lucy."

"What is it, Mrs. Homard?"

"It's something that we call the string of fate. It supposes to find your true love. The boy that touches this string will be yours forever."

"Do you think it's possible?"

"Anything is possible in this world, young lady. Just put the string around your wrist and wait for your prince charming to touch it."

So I decided to put it right on my wrist and tested it out when I walk back to my apartment. I said my goodbye to the mister and begin the experiment. There were a lot of people tonight but when it got interesting is when I saw I familiar figure. So I followed it, discreetly. At a moment, when he stopped, he turned around and start walking in my direction. 

"Lucy, is that you?"

"Hum.......Gray?"

"Hey, what are you doing here?"

"I was just going to my apartment." Ok, yeah it's a lie, but I couldn't say the real reason to him. He'll laugh at me and it'll be embarrassing.

"What are you doing late this hour outside, Gray?"

"Oh, I was just going to a walk. At night, walking makes me feel better."

"Do you need a friend to talk about your problems?"

"I think that you would already know about it. Juvia..."

"YOU LIKE HER?!"

"No. Lucy, keep it down."

"Oops, sorry."

"Anyway, I was thinking about what I felt for her, but I just realized that I love her and always protect her as a little sister to me, not as someone I love in a relationship. That's why I hate when she's clinging on me. Now I just have to find a way to tell her all of that without hurting her."

"You know. No matter how hard you try to say to someone that likes you that you don't like them, it'll always hurt them. Why not explain what you said to me to her. She will be upset for a long time, but the guild is there to comfort her and she has Lyon by her side. I'm sure she will fall in love with him one day or another."

"Lucy, thanks for helping. It's nice talking to you."

"I'm- I'm glad."

"Well, I'm gonna go now. Hey, wanna go to a mission, just the two of use, tomorrow?"

"Yeah, sure. No problem."

"Bye Lucy."

"Bye Gray. See you tomorrow."

I guess he isn't my true love. Why am I sad all of a sudden. I was in my thought that I didn't even realize that I was about to fall. I just closed my eyes but felt a hand on the string.
