Broken pieces

I don't want to be here with Shane all I am is a joke to his friends they don't even try to help they just laugh I met Shane before I dropped out of collage he was so sweet I fell in love with him we dated for a month but after that he started to yell at me for little things then it got worse every time I would speak he would push me or hit me I would have bruises all over I spent an hour each day trying to cover them up

I had to think of excuses so no one would know after a while he would beat me in public I hate myself I questioned myself

Shane went to a bar with his friends and I sat in the corner when I felt some one pull my hair I winced but it was just some guy who accidentally brushed up against me "I am so sorry." I looked up into his brown eyes he was beautiful. "Oh no its okay" I stuttered

I glanced over to see Shane walking to me he smacked my face "Did I say you can talk to anyone." he spat harshly I glanced up to see the brown eyed boy and cried "No you didn't say I could." I whispered. "worthless." Shane said as he walked off. I walked off to the girls room but someone grabbed my arm. "Hey are you okay?" I turned around it was the brown eyed boy "um yeah." I bit my lip to hold back tears "No your not I can tell come on let's go." he led me outside "I'm Dan by the way." he said softly.

"I'm Skyler." I replied he took out his phone and called someone "Stay right here OK." I stood outside the bar door he walked off to the end of the porch "hey Phil is it OK if I bring someone home I met her at a bar her boyfriend hit her and I'm not letting her go back in." "okay bye." he walked over. "hi um so yeah you can come to my house to get away from that jerk and then ill take you home tomorrow." I walked up to him and hugged him he fell back a little bit.

The car ride there I explained everything and he did to. we pulled up to the flat he opened the door and we walked in "Philllll I'm home!" he yelled a man with black hair walked out I guess thats phil. he pulled me into a hug."hi I'm Phil." he said (did i mention their accents I mean yeah I lived in London but I moved here from america but dang their accents..) "I'm Skyler." I replied sheepishly I'm really shy. my phone buzzed in my pocket I took it out "shit" I'm mumbled under my breath. it was a text from Shane :where are you stupid bitch when I find you you're dead: "what's wrong?" Dan asked worried. I handed him my phone. "Dan im so sorry I shouldn't have brought you into this god I'm so stupid." I said Dan hugged me really hard "Skyler I brought myself into this I won't let Shane hurt you."

                                                 

                                                DAN'S  POV

  Skyler handed me her phone. Shane texted her how could he do this she was covered in scars,cuts,bruises. "Skyler I brought myself into this I won't let Shane hurt you." I said I look at her she was fragile and beautiful I have to admit I'm falling for her, her long red hair stood out she had a scene hair cut "um Dan" Phil said. "hm what oh yeah" I snapped out of my thoughts. "Skyler if you want you can sleep in my room I'll sleep on the couch." " no Dan please you don't have to sleep on the couch I will I don't want to intrude." she responded "nope your sleeping on the bed." I said laughing "okay fine." Skyler mumbled under her breath i showed her my room "here are some clothes if you want to change me and Phil will probably be up playing Mario Cart and checking tumblr if you want to join you can." I gave her the clothes and started to walk out "Dan." Skyler said  "yea?" I replied "I just wanted to say thanks for this your really sweet." Skyler said blushing. and I walked out of the room

                                                  

Skyler's POV

   I quickly slipped off my batman shirt and put the shirt Dan gave me on and then put on the sweatpants on I tied them and walked out the door "hey Dan where is your restroom?"  "to the left." "okay thanks."  I grabbed a rag and took off my makeup. Bruises everywhere .. I opened the door and went into the living room and sat down next to Dan Phil was play Mario cart and Dan was on his laptop. "did everything fit okay?" Dan looked up and his face went pale  he sat down his laptop and looked me in the eye and hugged me " no one deserves this especially you I'm so sorry." Dan whispered in my ear. Phil went and fixed some popcorn  Dan picked up the laptop and we spent the next hour on tumblr and YouTube Dan and phil told me about there YouTube channels and we watched a couple videos and played video games after an hour it was 10:00 phil had already gone to bed and I was getting tired "hey Dan I'm gonna go to bed."I whispered " "okay." he replied his voice sounded worn I walked into Dan's room and went to sleep

    I felt like I was floating I tasted blood I opened my eyes and saw Dan on the floor I watched someone kick him and pick him up he looked dead it was Shane Shane punched him over and over why was he not fighting back I tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out dans face was bruised and bloody Shane pulled out a gun and pulled the trigger I watched Dan's lifeless body fall I screamed as the sound of bullets rang in my ear I ran to Dan screaming

    BANG the door flew open I was screaming and crying Dan ran to me and picked me up "Skyler wake up its just a nightmare!" I hugged Dan and buried my face in his chest and cried Dan pushed back my hair and rubbed my head he carried me to the living room and fixed me some tea he asked over and over what the dream was but then it would tell him that I liked him. I was so tired Dan sat up with the cover and put it around me I leaned on Dan's shoulder and we watched some Netflix before I fell asleep Dan whispered in my ear "I won't let anyone hurt you I promise."
