Bella’s Prologue:
(One year before…)
“Who’s that?” Bella asked Alexia, as both girls sat at their usual booth at Jack’s Place.
Alexia looked up from her phone’s screen and looked around Jack’s place with a frown. “Who’s who?”
Bella pointed discreetly at a tallish, brown haired, boy who was roughly the same age as herself and Alexia.
Alexia looked at him and frowned, “I don’t know?”
“He’s in our school uniform.” Bella points out, looking back at the boy's school uniform.
Alexia stared at Bella, “And that says I know him how?”
“Because you know more people at school then I do.” Bella said
Alexia blinked, “No, no I don’t.”
Bella rolled her eyes, “But do you know him?”
“You did just ask me that, you know?” Alexia mumbled, before looking back at the boy, “But, maybe. I think he walked into my English class the other day.”
“You think?” Bella asked,
“I don’t know!” Alexia snapped, “Ask Kio.”
“Kio’s not here.” Bella reminded.
“Shut up, I’m tired.” Alexia complained, picking up and eating a few fries.
Bella looked at the boy as he stood in line to order food, “No, but seriously though.” Bella said, “Do you?”
Alexia rolled her eyes, focusing back on her phone, “Jeez, Bella. If you want to know who he is, go talk to him.”
Bella looked at her in shock, “What? No way!”
Alexia looked up at her dramatically and set her phone down on the table, picking up her drink and taking a sip.
“You want to know who he is, go talk to him.” Alexia instructed.
“Lexi.” Bella said.
“Annabella.” Alexia said firmly back.
Bella rolled her eyes and Alexia stood up, “Come on. Go talk to him.”
“Come with me.” Bella said, hopefully.
Alexia laughed aloud, “No way. You can go yourself.”
Alexia grabbed her cup and headed in the direction to refill it, leaving Bella sitting at the table by herself. She sat there, almost studying the boy. He was wearing dark grey faded jeans, black converse sneakers, an A Day To Remember band t-shirt with a black and red checked button up t-shirt, which was left, unbuttoned. The sleeves were rolled up so you could see his wristbands laying on both of his wrists. Bella then went to study his facial features, noticing that he has a single lip ring. His hair was brown, straight and the tiniest bit curly at the end, running down just past his ears and covered his eyes just in the slightest. Bella smiled a little as Alexia came back to the table and sat down, not that Bella noticed. Alexia looked at who Bella was looking at and when she realised, she starting shaking her head.
“For crying out loud, Bella.” Alexia said disappointingly, “Get off your butt and just go talk to the guy.”
Bella stopped staring, “No, it’s okay. He probably doesn’t want to talk.”
Alexia leant back against the booth’s chair, shaking her head.
“What?” Bella asked
“You.” Alexia said, “You obviously want to know who he is but you won’t go and talk to him.”
Just as Alexia spoke, they boy sat down at the booth directly behind Bella. Bella start up straight and looked at Alexia, almost scared. Alexia felt the urge to laugh, tilting her head down so her hair covered her face, which hid her smile. Bella looked at Alexia as Alexia smirked.
“Don’t you dare!” Bella hissed.
Alexia ignored her. “Hi.” She said to the boy.
The boy looked back from his food at Alexia.
“Hi?” The boy replied, confused.
Alexia smiled, “I’m Alexia.”
“Hi.” The boy repeated.
“ You’re in year twelve at Rocko, right?” Alexia asked.
“Yeah.” The boy confirmed.
“Yeah, I thought it was you who was in my English class the other day.” Alexia said happily.
“Yeah.” The boy said again.
“This is Bella.” Alexia introduced.
Bella stared at Alexia evilly, before, hesitantly, turning around.
“Hi.” Bella whispered.
The boy smiled, shyly,
“What’s your name?” Alexia asked after no one spoke for a moment.
“Caelum.” He said, continually smiling at Bella.
Alexia sat back in her seat, smirking, as Caelum and Bella started talking. She took out her phone and messaged J, Rin, and Kio.
“Come chill at Jack’s Place. I think I’ve been ditched.”
She pressed send.
