I was sleeping good. That was until my mom woke me up.

"Becky! Get up!!"

"5 more minutes mom". I said still half sleep.

"No! Wake up NOW!!! Your sister just called and she is on her way to pick you up now".

"Ugh!!!! Ok mom!!!!! I'm getting up!!!!!!" I sighed as I got out of bed. This was gonna be a long ass day. My boyfriend Quan is throwing a party at 6 and I really wanna go.  I know my mom is gonna say no. If she does, I don't care. I'm sneaking to that party.

Anyway, as soon as I got out of bed, I immediately got dressed and ready for school. After about 5 minutes I could hear my sister in the house.

"MOM! BECKY!!" I heard my sister call out. I knew my sister would be mad if I came down late. My sister doesn't like to wait on nobody. That's just how she is. But, she's my sister and I love her.

Anyway, when she came in, I was still fixing my hair. After I fixed my hair, I came downstairs.

"Bout time yo slow ass came downstairs! What took you so long!?"

"Blue how many times do I have to tell you about cussing in my house!?" My mom yelled. My mom doesn't like cussing. That's how she was raised. My grandma was a Christian and she says that cussing isn't "Lady Like". My mom isn't a Christian, but that's how she was raised. But I don't cuss in front of her. Blue does sometimes. And my brother, Bryce used to before he died. Yes my brother was killed 2 years ago in a drive by shooting. That's why I worry about my sister alot. My sister is a hustler, but I feel like she's gonna end up getting killed. She's the last sibling I have alive and the last thing I need is to be watching the news and they say that she was killed somewhere.

"Becky get you a poptart to go." My mom said.

"Nah, I'm good. I'll just eat whatever nasty food they have at school".

"I'll be in the car Becky." Blue said.  As she walked outside towards her car.

"Oh mom. Quan is having a party at 6. I was wondering if I could go?"

"Now you know how I feel about that boy." My mom said. My mom doesn't like Quan. I don't know why. But my sister doesn't either.

"Please mom. Just this once." I pleaded.

"My answer is no"

"But mom. Everybody's going!"

"Yeah. Everybody except you. Now get out to that car before your sister gets impatient cuz you know she doesn't like waiting for anybody".

"OH MY GOD!!" I yelled as I stormed out the door.

That's fine. Just know this, MOM, I'm going to that party without you knowing and there's nothing you can do to stop me. I'm 16 years old.
