: I may be gone, but I'm still the person inside your heart.
Today is the day that I am going to have a surgery for my heart.
I have a heart disease and the doctors said that if I don't have a surgery soon, then there might be a possibility for me to die.
I was heading to the hospital with my boyfriend Zach, since he is the only one that will be there for my surgery.
My parents aren't present because they are at work. But they have always been supportive to me. That's why they work a lot in order for them to have enough money to pay for my surgery.
And that's why Zach is the only one who can come with me.
It took us a while to find a donor that will offer their heart to me. And now we did, but I didn't quite get the information of that person.
But I'm glad that person gave me an opportunity to live.
As we arrived at the hospital, we headed towards the doctor's office and asked the doctor when will my surgery start.
I was now laying down on a wheeled stretcher heading towards the operation room.
I was really nervous that this surgery might not work out for me and that I might die while doing the operation.
Zach may have noticed it because he begged the nurses if he can talk to me first.
The nurses nodded and gave me and Zach some alone time before my surgery.
"Hey, hey don't worry about it. It's going to be fine." He said while holding my hand and comforting me.
"Will you be there for me?"
"Sure I will. I promise." He said giving me a soft reassuring smile. The nurses then came back and brought me inside the operating room.
Inside the operating room, I saw a lot of doctors approaching me and some medical tools on a desk.
I looked through the small window on the door of the operating room and saw Zach standing, looking at me.
He waved at me and smiled lightly.
Then I forgot what happened next, I remember the doctor injecting me with anesthesia and that was it.
Even when if I was asleep and being operated by the doctors, I never stopped thinking of all the possibilities.
And also Zach.
As much as I can remember, I knew that it took hours on the operation.
Once it was over, I opened my eyes and saw the doctors staring at me.
"Ma'am?" A doctor asked me. "Are you still there?"
"I am." I said. After that, all the doctors sighed in relief. "Success!" Another doctor shouted from behind.
They soon brought me to a room where I can rest for a couple of days or weeks before I can go home.
When I arrived the room, I saw a teddy bear sitting on the hospital bed with a small note.
I figured that it was from Zach since he wasn't there after the surgery. Maybe he bought it before that's why he's not there.
I picked up the note and it read: 'I'm so glad your surgery turned out well. I told you it was going to be alright. And just remember that I will always be in your heart, I promise :) -Zach X.'
I smiled at the note that he gave me. But I started to become worry because he was gone for too long.
So I decided to call one of the nurses that brought me to the operation room.
"Excuse me, have you seen the boy that I was with earlier?" I asked the nurse.
"Well didn't the doctors tell you? He was the donor of your surgery."
