Trust Me

: Met his ex girlfriend on the streets; she told me that he was with her the other night. And I don't know if I should believe her or not.

The cool breeze of wind hits my face as I walked down the streets. I decided to take a walk since I'm getting bored staying at home.

Instead of going home, I went to the nearest convenience store and bought a bottle of water.

A few minutes after I left the convenience store, a girl called my name, "Y/n Y/l/n?"

I looked back and I saw a girl that is somehow familiar to me. Blonde hair, not that tall, has a lot of make up on, looking a bit cocky.

Yep. I knew who she is. Jorden. Zach's ex.

She looked at me with a smug look on her face.

"You're Y/n Y/l/n right? Zach's girlfriend. I'm Jorden. Zach may have mentioned me before didn't he?" I rolled my eyes at her. "Yep he sure did." I said sarcastically.

"I hope he tells you all the good stuff." She said slightly smirking.

Ugh. I hate this girl.

"Nah there weren't any good. To be honest, all he talks about is the bad stuff."

This time, her smirk disappeared and she looks at me a bit angry.

"Oh really?" She said crossing her arms. "Then explain to me why he went to my house the other night?"

"I don't know what you're talking about. And besides, Zach would never do that he's dating me. " I said as I began to leave.

"If you don't believe me then you should look at this."

I turned around and saw her holding up her phone. When I got closer, I saw that it was a picture of Zach embracing her while kissing her cheek.

"You see Y/n, Zach doesn't like you. He likes me." She said. "No he doesn't. Besides, don't you have a boyfriend?"

"I do. But how can I resist Zach if he's the one that went to my house and begged me to be with him again." She said smirking

I can't take this girl anymore.

Without hesitation, I slapped her in the face. "You bitch! He would never say that to your disgusting face."

"You're just jealous because Zach wanted me more than you."

I didn't care to hear anymore of her nonsense. So I left her without saying anything else.

While walking, I began wondering if what she's saying is true or not. I mean Zach loves me and he can't do that to me can't he?

I thought about the picture that she showed me. It looks fake and real at the same time. Maybe it is real or edited?

When I reached home, I immediately texted Zach.

Y/n: Hey, can you come over? We need to talk.
Zach: What's this about?
Y/n: I'll explain to you later.
Zach: You're not breaking up with me, right? You know I love you.
Y/n: Of course I'm not breaking up with you. Just come over.
Zach: Okay. I'll be there in 5.

After five minutes, the doorbell rang.

I opened the door for him and he entered the house with a worried look on his face.

"Y/n What's wrong?" "We just really need to talk right now." I said. Then we sat on the sofa.

"Okay. But what about?" He asked. I exhaled deeply before telling him what happened.

"So as you see, I went for a walk this morning and..." I looked at Zach and he was serious while waiting for me to continue. "And what?"

"I met Jorden." I said. "You met who?" He asked a bit surprised. "Jorden. As in your ex."

"She didn't hurt you didn't she?" He said worriedly as he held my hand.

"No she didn't. But she told me something." "What's that?"

"She told me that you were with her the other night." I said as I dropped my gaze at the floor.

"That's ridiculous. You don't believe that don't you." He lifted my chin with his index finger. And now I'm staring at his eyes.

"I mean, I don't know." I said looking away. He let go of my hand and stood up.

"I can't believe you don't trust me."

"Zach. You know, I do trust you." I said as I followed him. "It's just, she showed me this picture that you're together and-"

"What picture?" He asked cutting me off. "Sh- she has this picture and you were in it. You were kissing her cheek while hugging her." A few tears fell from my eyes.

"Y/n." He said and looked deeply in my eyes wiping my tears away. "Look, all I can is, that picture is real. But that was a long time ago when we were still together. Trust me."

That's when I remembered that in the picture Zach has short hair and now he has long hair. He also looked young in the photo. And that he is telling the truth.

"Oh my gosh. You're right. That picture was a long time ago. I'm sorry if I accused you of cheating. It's because I got caught up and I thought that she might steal you away from me. I was so dumb. I'm really sorry Zach."

Instead of getting a response, I felt soft lips pressed into mine.

I instantly kissed back knowing that It's his way of accepting my apology.

"I will never leave you for her. Ever."
