                          And I just stood there
                          As I let the rain drench me

                          As I let it wash away 

                          Wash away everything
                          The sadness
                          The anger 

                          The pain
                          

                          But I didn't cry
                          The clouds did for me
                          No matter how hard I tried
                          The tears just wouldn't pour
                          Pour hard and heavy like the rain
                          I wanted an emotional release
                          

                          But I just stood there
                          Alone
                          In the middle of the rain
                          No tears threatening to fall
