Hicca

Chapter 3: In the Open

"Congratulations Hicca, you get the honor of killing your first dragon!" Gobber said happily, but Hicca felt sick to her stomach.

"That's so, I'm so...." She said, and then she grabbed her stuff and went to the cove.

"Leaving, we're leaving." She said, as she dropped the basket down, and then she looked up. Crying out in shock, Hicca stumbled backwards. Aston was sitting on the boulder sharpening his double sided axe.

The boy was moving slow, but very deliberate. Hicca was really nervous, how did he find this place? How long had he been here?

"Oh, Aston, hey." She said nervously, and he jumped down.

"I want to know what's been going on, you don't just get that good out of the blue. So what's your secret? Private training? Does it involve this stupid thing? What is it?" He demanded, as he dropped me to the ground. Hicca felt scared, not just for her, but Toothless.

"Fine you've got me, I've been making outfits. Go on, drag me back to the village, go on." She said, and Aston didn't believe it. However, that's when Toothless arrived.

Aston tackles Hicca to the ground, and then charged the dragon. Hicca was terrified, to say the least. She got up, and then did something utterly stupid. She threw herself between the two, holding both her hands out.

"Toothless no!" She said, as she looked at her friend. She managed to grab Aston's axe and toss it away, to ensure survival.

"Hicca, What are you doing?!?" Aston hissed, as Hicca used herself as a human shield.

"Don't hurt him, he's just startled." She said, as she began to pet Toothless.

"Him?!? Hicca, that's a dragon!" Aston Said, and Hicca sighed.

"He has a name too you know Aston, and yes he is a dragon. Aston, meet Toothless. Toothless, Aston." She said, and Toothless just gave a glare at the boy, who then began running in the opposite direction.

"We are dead, come on you." Hicca said to her dragon friend, as they went after Aston.

Hicca was insane! She's lost it, I can't believe she thinks a dragon is her friend! I just jumped off a log, when I'm suddenly riding up. I looked up and saw it was the Nightfury, with Hicca on a saddle.

"Hicca, put me down right now!" He threatened, and Hicca looked nervous.

"Aston, I cant do that." She said, and the dragon growled.

"Hicca, I swear, you better let me down right now!" Aston threatened again, and Hicca just sighed.

"Please, just let me show you." She pleaded, and Aston gave in. She's so cute when she begs, Wait what?!?!

Aston climbed onto the back of the Nightfury, and cautiously sat down. Hicca let out a breath, was she relieved?

"Toothless, let's take it slow." She said, and the dragon spread it's wings, then shot up like a Thor knows what. I was screaming, and desperately trying to avoid falling off the dragon.

"Toothless, slowly! We need him to like us!" Hicca Cried out, and then the dragon shot down into the water.

"Thanks for nothing you useless reptile." Hicca said, as she tried to reason with a fricken Nightfury! I had managed to lean forward and grab onto Hicca for dear life, my eyes were clamped shut, and I was terrified. That's when the dragon started to spin.

"Now we're spinning." Hicca said in exasperation, and I finally decided living was better than dying.

"Hicca Im sorry, I'm sorry. Just get me off this thing." Aston Said, and Toothless heard. Then he eased up, they were flying just between clouds now, when Aston finally opened his eyes. Cuz Toothless wasn't trying to kill him, and it was a smooth ride.
