Victoria is sitting by the desk in her chambers and tries to focus on a report for the military base in Dartmoor. It's a routine work, an evaluation of mental state of several troops who came back from mission in Afghanistan. She has all background reports in appropriate folders, she just need to make a summary. However no matter how hard she tries to focus and concentrate her mind on it, her thoughts keep running away and dance around Hak Yeon. That man is giving her a serious headache. How can he claim he figured her out? She herself doesn't understand all the emotions her brain hopelessly tries to process! It's ridiculous and insane. It can't be. She is sensible grown up woman, she has no intention to fall for pretty illusion with a dark handsome stranger. This is no fairy tale, this is reality. She can't proceed in this, she can't put everything behind and follow him to Korea! That would be crazy.
On the other hand... Her job here became a routine. She finds no challenges in it anymore. Maybe it's time for a change. Maybe it's time to change the direction her work is going... No! What are you even pondering about? That's not right. It can't last. Such sudden explosion of emotions can't last long. All the burning passion Hak Yeon feels now will subside soon and he will get interested in someone else, leaving her with broken heart in an alien environment. Men are fickle, that's what her mother always says. They like to have fun but they get bored quickly. Valeria taught her daughters that love is nothing more but a temporal hormones imbalance. It's a short-term mental disorder. It affects only weak people, strong individuals can overcome this dislocation of emotions by simply using brain. Intelligent and strong people, leaders and rulers don't fall in love. Loving someone is a weakness, it makes man vulnerable to the object of his affection. Victoria is a ruler. She was raised to sacrifice her life to serving others. She has a call. She has to be valuable member of her class, she must use all her powers, wealth, influence and time to make world a better place, to help people. Being born an aristocrat is no excuse to lead a wasteful life, it's privilege and responsibility. What would she become if she selfishly followed the disturbed instincts and emotions and gave herself to a man she barely knows?
Victoria moans painfully and runs fingers through her hair. It was a mistake to invite the band to film their music video here. She made the call in a desperation and thought she will get along with just watching him from distance. It all went wrong, though. She could leave the castle and spend some time in Inverness, her sister just opened new hospital there, Victoria might stay with her. Running cowardly away from the temptation. That's not her style. She never ran away from any danger, she never dodged any obstacle, not even when she joined the medical team in Syria to help the suffering people in a war zone. If she didn't balk from Taliban and Islamic state, she won't run away from a long-necked Korean entertainer. What a misfortune that unlike radicals Hak Yeon isn't after her life, he wants to get her soul. Devil in handsome disguise.

Hak Yeon sits at the massive and long dinner table in ridiculously big dining room. The ceiling is like 5 metres high, the walls are decorated with vintage paintings - portraits of passed family members, all women in historical dresses, all with serious and strict faces, usually having a sword by their side, a horse or a dog, one has two braids, fur coat and is holding a fiercely looking axe. What a collection of Amazon warriors, thinks Hak Yeon for himself. No wonder Victoria tends to act arrogantly and can't cope with someone else setting the rules. Her family is a string of queen like women. Hak Yeon was curious how could their husbands look like. Were they pale, short and weak? Or were they warriors able to tame such women? And into which category would Hak Yeon fit? He's not intending to tame Victoria, he's more like a horse whisperer - he wants to persuade her to follow him devotedly by her own will. Unfortunately the things aren't looking well for him again. Victoria made sure to sit at one end of the table and Hak Yeon was seated as far from her as was possible. Her face is wearing an ice cold mask again and she haven't look at him the whole dinner. Hak Yeon can see her determination to resist all his attempts to seduce her. Naive girl. Hak Yeon saw William Lane and he could imagine the type of men Victoria usually meets - self-confident but with no passion in them, used to beat around the bush, using big words without saying anything important, following the society rules blindly, treating her like a princess with submissiveness and devotion. However Victoria is no princess. Warrior's blood is circulating in her veins. She can't respect someone weaker than she is. She needs no devoted servant, nor authoritarian lord. She needs a partner, someone able to keep up with her, not to follow her or lead her, but a companion. She is smart and a professional, despises all lies, she needs a man who will be true to her, telling her everything, no matter how inconvenient the truth might be. Hak Yeon isn't perfect but he's confident about his ability to give all of this to her. She might feel lost in Seoul at the beginning but Victoria is a strong woman, she will find a way how to conquer and rule the city, Hak Yeon is sure about it. She was born a queen and he will present her a new type of kingdom. Hak Yeon realizes these are difficult tasks to do for him, but he is determined to overcome her resistance and become the one and only man she loves and respects. And no matter what he does, he's good at it, isn't that so?
After dinner the whole company went to the evening salon to have a cup of tea or something stronger before sleep. Victoria quickly sneaked out to her chambers to avoid Hak Yeon. He couldn't possibly follow her, he had to attend his friends and colleagues. Once they all went to their beds (Hongbin went happily whistling into his luxurious tower chambers), Hak Yeon sneaked to the corridor and stepped to Victoria's door.
He takes the handle and tries it. The door is locked. Victoria didn't forget about his warning. What a pity! Hak Yeon tries to listen carefully for a while but the door is made of solid wood, he can't hear anything. He would like to know if she is soundly sleeping now, or if she is sitting in front of the door, watching the handle carefully. That image brings a smile on Hak Yeon's face. He whispers a good night to the door and goes back to his room.

Victoria sits on the floor, leaning her back against the door. She heard Hak Yeon's steps in the hall and quickly locked the door. She watches the handle going slowly down and she stops breathing. When it goes back she breathes silently out with relieve. What's wrong with her? Why is she so confused? Why does she wishes for him to unlock the door? Is she losing her mind? She reflects all the signs of mental breakdown... Maybe she should visit her therapist... Victoria sighs, gets up and goes to bed. She can't sleep the whole night, though.
