Notes – So sorry I haven’t updated this in so very long, I’ve had very little time for writing or wattpad-ing recently. But I am back and hoping there are people still interested enough to read and review my stories as I would love to hear your thoughts on this + in particularly the newest character. Much Delayed Love Harriet xoxo

Zachary

The blissful darkness was stolen from me as my legs made harsh contact with the solid ground bringing me back to the awful reality of the horror that surrounded me. I gazed up trying to blink away the hazy spots that clouded my vision seeing the dark eyed vampire slowly and sensually lick his blood tinged lips before inquiring "Your sister?"

"You shut your mouth," Deans voice bellowed angrily as he flew across my hazy vision, pining the stranger to the wall where a huge crack began to form from the force of his brute power.

"Dean?" I whispered relieved that he was here but frightened by his extreme fury, I had been missing him so much recently that it hurt deeply when he ignored me focussing only on the sranger as he spat venomously "How dare you bite her.”

"Dean please, he saved me," I pleaded desperately uncertain as to why I was I actually defending the vampire that had in fact just fed from me only moments ago but even more so surprised by the desperation in my voice.

"She's right, where were you when I was saving your precious little Sister from the Skeletor Dean?" the stranger accused bravely, in response an almost deafening violent bang emitted from the wall as Dean smashed the strangers back against it for the second time, causing the crack to grow above them like an upside down root.

Seemingly oblivious to Deans assault the stranger mused cockily "That’s a lovely corsage she's wearing isn't it, so very black and so very familiar.”

"You're bluffing," Dean spoke desperately whilst finally turning to acknowledge me and the black flower that still hung by my wrist by its delicate midnight ribbon.

Taking advantage of Dean’s lack of focus the stranger fought away from his grip and before I knew it he was knelt beside me clasping my arm in an attempt to hurl me up from my sprawled position on the ground, "Clearly there are more important matters at hand than his conversation," the stranger argued defensively lifting me effortlessly before cradling me to his side.

Instantly distracted by his black bottomless eyes, which were no longer framed by the leather mask now pushed back into his wayward locks, I crooned "Who are you?"

"Zachary," the name sounded like a whisper in my head before noise exploded behind us and I was thrown across the room into Deans instant reflexes.

Safely in my brothers strong arms I turned in dread to see not one but four of the Skeleton creatures advancing upon us screeching manically as their hungry hollow eyes bore into mine. Zachary leaped towards them like a predator of the jungle twisting ones skull with a quick flick of his wrist causing the familiar sound of crunching bones to resound before shouting exasperatedly "Well what are you waiting for, get her out of here!"

Hesitantly Dean moved my arms around his neck, before swiftly carrying me away from the scene as Zachary sprang himself towards another Skeletor and we set down the empty corridors at a dizzying speed. Only seconds passed until Zachary had caught up with us rubbing his hands in victory and smirking proudly. But next thing I knew Dean seemed to trip up, losing his balance completely and throwing me on on to the floor where I landed yards away from him in a heap of bodies.

To my relief one of the bodies belonged to Ava who pulled me into an embrace whispering breathlessly "what happened to you, are you alright?" I focused on her completely trying to ignore the horrifying rotting stench that’s filled my nostrils.

Before I could respond we were both helped up from the ground by a very dirty looking Seb who nodded in acknowledgement at Zachary with an expression of relief and loathing “Brother,” Zachary rejoiced in a sarcastic tone mirroring Seb’s stony glare with intense hatred. They were brothers, how peculiar I thought; they seem nothing alike.

“We need to get you kids to the auditorium, it’ll be safe for you there,” Dean ordered ignoring the hostility between the two brothers and Seb’s curious gaze.

Zachary scoffed inaudibly before rushing towards me lifting me effortlessly “Hurry up then, the auditorium is this way,” he demanded carrying me towards the left corridor.

“I could walk you know?” I offered shyly feeling self-conscious with my arms draped around his neck and his arms hooked under my legs but he just gaped down at me arching his eyebrow unleashing a cocky breath-taking grin that caused pink to coloured my cheeks.

Sighing with frustration I wondered why I was blushing at this vampire and why I was so aware of my body cradled against his, he’d fed from me less than an hour ago yet now he was carrying me seemingly focused on protecting me, I was so completly confused as to wy he suddenly seemed to care
