Chapter 5: 5 Threats

Everyone says hangovers are the worse. Then you have others that say if you don’t have a hangover, you didn’t have an awesome night.

I agree with the first one.

I never drank to the point of blacking out. The furthest for me was getting tipsy. So when I woke up the next morning and it hurt to even be awake, I knew I went far beyond than I was used too.

I struggled with opening my eyes and when I finally did, I started panicking because the room I was in was not mine. I shot up in the bed… well I went too but something was holding down my waist and then I really started to panic.

Did I come home with someone random? My heart went into frenzy at that thought. The boys let me leave with someone, I didn’t know? Oh God.

Looking down, I was rewarded with an arm wrapped securely around my waist. Obviously male. I bite my lip from screeching. I knew I had to look at the face but I was too terrified too. Luckily, I didn’t have too because the next thing I knew the man was moving and then speaking to me.

“You reek of alcohol.”

Of all people it had to be. It had to be Aaron that I woke up in bed with.

“Why am I in bed with you?” I croaked out my throat dry.

“Do you remember anything from last night?” God, even in the morning he wasn’t pleasant.

“No. All I remember was sitting down at a table in the club and being handed something to drink.” I try to think of the rest of the night but my mind comes up blank. Plus, with the hangover I’m sporting it hurts to even use my head.

The bed shuffled and since we woke up, Aaron finally faced me. How could he look so good in the morning? Thinking that, I cringed when I thought I probably looked the complete opposite. “You don’t even remember going over the deal?”

“No…” I drawled scared he would get pissed and kick me off the bed for forgetting.

His eyes rolled and he got out of the bed, not even giving me the time of day. I don’t know what made him so moody but there was no way, I would ask him. I would like to stay alive.

My eyes trailed lower as the blankets fell off of Aaron. He was only in his boxers and I felt my cheeks flare. His toned, tan body was in my view and I couldn’t help but to stare. I found it crazy that only yesterday I was the girl no one ever noticed and now I was waking up in bed with Aaron Salvatore.
