4 ||Sleepless Nights||

"Is your head okay?" Mahiru asked.

"Yes, it's fine, thank you," Tsubaki answered holding an ice pack on the side of his head.

Ten minutes earlier after Tsubaki fell, Kuro carried, I mean dragged, him in the room with JeJe following along. Luckily, the fight has ended and everyone was just laying around on the floor in exhaustion. Long story short, now they were all sitting around the table in silence, that was until a head fell on the table.

"Wow, I was wondering when he'll fall asleep," Lily giggled. "A two-hour delay."

"This spoiled brat has a bedtime?" Tsubaki questioned, putting down his ice pack.

"He usual sleeps at 9 on the dock," he stated. "I'm impressed he managed to stay up this long."

"Not surprised. How can he sleep with all the noise you guys make," he said. "I'm surprised that the girl didn't wake up."

"Nobody's going to bring up the fact that he locked us in here?!?" Hyde yelled.

"Shouldn't we give her a new name?" Mikuni asked. "Her actual name is too long."

"True," Mahiru agreed. "Why don't you think of something, Tsubaki."

"Why me?" Tsubaki

"Don't ignore me!!!" Hyde yelled desperately, trying to get everyone's attention.

"Get over it already," Licht said.

"Well, you are her partner," Mahiru pointed out.

"So, that doesn't prove why I need to give her a name," Tsubaki replied back.

"Just think of a name," he told him.

"Yeah, sure," he waved him off.

"Well," Lily began. "It's already late so why don't we go to sleep." he stood up and picked up Misono, placing him on his bed.

Everyone started to place their futons on the floor. Since Pure Child took the only bedroom, the others had to stay in the living area. Lily turned off the lights and everyone just laid in silence.

"Shouldn't we keep an eye on her?" Licht broke the silence and sat up on his futon. "We still don't know a whole lot about her. What if she does something at night or someone tries to kidnap her?"

"Why would someone try to kidnap her?" Hyde asked laying next to Licht on his futon, looking up at the ceiling.

"You never know," Mahiru began. "We might have to deal with new enemies."

"True," he replied back. "Then what can a little girl do and a time like this?"

"Since she is half-human, she might have some side effects to her," Licht explained. "Don't you think so, Tsubaki?" he turned towards Tsubaki who sat on his futon in deep thought.

"Not because she is half-human, but because she's incomplete," Tsubaki stated. "She was left behind, because of a certain event and I'm sure you guys know what event."

"Then it's settled then," Mahiru said breaking the atmosphere that was turning tense. "We can all take turns looking after her."

"I'll watch over her first," Lily volunteered. "We can each take an hour watching her."

"Then I'll go," Mahiru said. "Then Kuro."

"Why do I have to go next?" Kuro grumbled.

"It's only for an hour," he replied back. "You'll survive."

After everyone knew who would go next, they all fell asleep. Lily, who has the first shift, went into Pure Child's room and sat on the chair that was placed against the wall next to her bed. She slept soundly with soft snores emitting from her. A window was placed above the bed, letting the moon shine through.
