Demi's POV:

I am so glad Chloe likes the outfits I picked out for her. I was shocked to learn that Chloe knew my fashion sense and picked out clothes that I would actually wear.

Hearing my stomach staring to rumble, indicating I was hungry, I decided it was time to make dinner. We walked down the stairs together and into the kitchen. After searching through the cupboards, I decided to make us pasta.

Five minutes into cooking the pasta, I heard Made In The USA playing on the TV. I walked into the living room to see Chloe dancing to my song. I tried to stay quiet to watch her as long as I could. Of course, this soon ended when she did a turn and noticed me. Taken back by catching me, Chloe fell out of her turn and onto the living room floor with a thud.

"Chloe, I'm so sorry! Are you ok?"

She nodded slowly before stifling a laugh. Soon enough we were both on the floor laughing together. All was well until I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I turned to face Chloe to see her pointing at the stove. OH MY GOD, I LEFT THE PASTA ON!

Running into the kitchen, I grab a towel and starting hitting the small fire before finally turning off the stove. I sense Chloe beside me.

"How about we order some pizza?" I asked. She answered with a small nod. I smile back at her before grabbing my phone and ordering two pizzas.

//

"How is the pizza?"

Chloe smiled and nodded her head in appreciation. I really need to get her to talk.

Minutes past and I'm getting sick of the silence so I turn on the tv. An old episode of Dance Moms appeared on the screen.

"Hi, my name's Christi, and this is my daughter Chloe who's nine"

"Yes I am"

I hear light sniffles beside me. I look at Chloe and see a tear escape her eye and roll down her cheek. Scooting over to her, I wrap my arms around her small frame before turning the TV off.

I started to sing warrior in almost a whisper.

It felt like hours until Chloe finally sat up.

"Help me" she said, and returned to hugging me.

I hold her and repeat soothing words. The first time she has spoke to me an it isn't positive.

I will help her feel again. Even if it takes forever.

Short filler chapter, I feel like I need to post more often.
