Only three days until Friday! The girls were coming over for dinner and planning. So I was left to cook dinner. Tonight's menu included salad, baked ziti, some meatballs, and plain noodles for Paisley. Desserts includes ice cream, cake, and the most delish brownie volcano to grace the world. This night was to be the best ever before Friday, the girls just didn't know that yet. I had set up a white board for planning ideas, and Faith always came prepared for planning. And dinner would be served in the dining room like a family dinner on Sunday. Then we would proceed to the living room to brainstorm ideas and have the desserts. I was setting up when a knock from the door echoed through the house.
"Hi! I came to plan! I have sticky notes, colored pens, highlighters, and other things we need!" Faith exclaimed cheerfully. She was dresses in a stylish black cocktail dress with heels, and accessories to compliment. Fancy, but not too fancy. Very appropriate.
"Hi! Come in and make yourself at home! I love it when you come prepared! Dinner is being made and the other girls will be here soon!" I reply with matching enthusiasm. As for myself, I am wearing a dress that is layered down that goes from an off-white color to a marigold orange. It has a stretchy cream and brown belt around the torso. Casual and comfy. Just my style.
"So where are your parents? I thought that they would be here." Faith questioned.
"Oh they are out of town for the week. They needed a vaycay. You know?"
"So you're by yourself!? All week?! PARTY TIME!"
"TOTALLY! TIME TO THROW A RAGER!"
"Hahaha noooo your parents would die if we did."
"My parents! what about me!? I'll be six feet under before dawn breaks!"
DING DONG
Paisley bursts through the door and shouts, "IM HOOOOME!"
She was in jeans and a dress shirt, just like her. Simple and classy at the same time. She jumps into the house with a bag on her shoulder. Then without hesitation she pulls out two cans of silly string and attacks us with it.
"Paisley!!!!!" we both shout.
"WHAT!? I brought the partay! And I have party poppers and glow sticks!"
"Umm it's not that kind of party Pais..." I said awkwardly.
"OOOH ok. whatever. When's dinner? I'm starving!"
"As soon as Rachel gets he-DING DONG. Rachel had arrived at last. She was dressed in casual attire. Jeans and a tshirt for her tonight. She wasn't one to dress up a lot. But we love her for that! We moved to the dining room for dimmer. There was water and iced tea set out on the table. The salad was in a nice dish accompanied by a variety of dressings. I went to get the ziti out of the oven and I served my guests their dinner. We chat about the latest gossip, but the best juice was yet to come.

"Ok! We need to have the best night on Friday! After all, the whole freaking school will be there! So, I thought we would start by pinpointing the highlights of the night. Such as, the football game, the fight, the food, and the people. I want to have the best seats possible to access all of these things!" Faith instructs almost running out of air.
"Alright, I think that we should sit towards the back corner because that's where the fight will happen! Because we all know that it's the reason we are going!" the party popper exclaimed.
"I don't know about you but I want the food sooooo...." The other blonde adds
"Well the football game is always exciting! I'd really like to see it! And we can't sit by the back corner, it where the /thing/ happened." I finally say.
"Oh right, the incident. It still haunts me today guys." Faith says chillingly
There is a moment where the eerie feeling hangs in the air. A slight breeze runs a chill down my spine. We all were there when it happened. She was just trying to help. Why would he do that to her? these are the thoughts that run through the girls mind in the moment of silence that is still present between the four friends. They hadn't talked about the incident in months. As the girls think how lucky they are to be alive, the spirit that has lurking in the attic finally awakes. It is time to fulfill it's destiny.
