My minds fogged now. The things around me are weird in he sense that I don't know what it is. When I was young it was never this bad. There's people around me that I know aren't there. Yet, I still see them.
Victorian style clothes and masked faces. They just stare at me when I go by them. And they never move.
"Ah fuck! " A car speeds past scaring the hell out of me. "Are you serious right now? " My voice has fallen to a whisper as I look around trying to decipher what's real and what's fake.
Walking across the street I dodge a lady in a blood red Victorian dress with the standard white mask on her face. I know they're not real, at least I don't think they are, but I still don't wanna touch them.
An arm being slung around my shoulders sets my body off with a small shake. Turning I notice Jacob. He's a year younger then me yet still very tall. "Hey there James. " He says smiling a little clearly aware that he scared me.
"Jesus Jacob, hi. " Sighing I slip out from where his arms draped over me.
"You seem to be very tense as usual. " He let's out a small chuckle as he walks beside me.
Of course I'm tense. Im seeing things that I can't always depict from reality! But of course he doesn't know that.
I step closer to Jacob for a second so I wouldn't touch the small kid standing there. "But of course, Jacob. " Is my answer as bland and toneless as always.
He sighs opening the schools door for us allowing me in first. "Seriously though, chill out, James. "
That gets me to let out a laugh. "Seriously? You don't really know me Jacob. Just let me be. " As soon as the hysterical words left my lips I quickly walked back out of the school.
Great. That's amazing. I just let myself slip in front of someone who seems to like hanging around me. Has he not noticed I have problems?
My legs start moving on their own at this point. I'm running. Heading quickly to the woods close by. People are looking but I rather them look when I'm running then look when I'm having a hysterical mental breakdown.____________________________________
Looking around the shadows of the forest I can see shadows moving about. This is the only place that that happens at. It makes me feel a little better knowing that. Although it probably shouldn't.
"Breath." My breath comes out shaky as I start to go a little hysterical. "Just fuckin breath you dumb shit. "
A poor looking Victorian kid is peeking out from behind a tree watching my hysteria unfold.
" You fucked up James. You shouldn't have snapped. God damn it! " A stinging in my hand rises after I hear cracking of my knuckles against the rough tree.
A few tears sting at my eyes slowly falling down my cheeks. My breath slightly hitched with every breath I take.
"Hey." A familiar voice calls out panting heavily clearly trying to catch their breath. "Are... " He pauses again as I turn to look at who it is. "You okay? " He finally spits out. It's Jacob.
"I'm fine Jacob. " My voice cracks as my hand wipes a few tears from my face. "I just got a little mad, that's all. " I take a deep breath steadying my voice out the best I can.
"Are you sure?" He comes closer. It's dangerously close. "You seem to be doing", he pauses for a second. " Not okay. "
I was more focused to what was creeping up behind him. A wolf. It looked like it was growling at him. Although I couldn't hear. Quickly I moved forward. "Jacob shut up. Come here. "
The only response I get is a confused expression after he looks behind himself. "James, there's nothing there what are you looking at? "
