It takes me a few seconds to register what Jacob has said. "Right. Yeah I know that sorry." The words come out awkward as I look away staring at the ground before walking past him yet around the wolf which has shocking calmed down.
My arms grabbed gently with just enough force to pull me back. "No James. What did you see. You clearly saw something. I've seen you look like this before in class. " He pauses almost as if he was gathering his thoughts. "You looked scared hole staring off at what seems like nothing. "
Pulling away a continue to walk away. "Leave it alone. We have school remember. "
With that, Jacob follows quietly out of the woods. Once out everything is still. Or at least the things I'm sure aren't real.
Jacob sighs a bit his pace picking up enough to get up next to me. Out of the corner of my eyes I can see him looking at me without a word being said. After all, he's probably thinking about what's happened.
"James. I don't know what's up with you but if you don't tell me I'll figure it out. Are you hallucinating or something? Please just explain. " All this does is make me want to punch him. Although I can't. Or rather shouldn't do that. He's just trying to help.
"Jacob leave it be. " My voice is deeper. Clearly not joking around. Then again why wouldn't I?
He raises a brow shaking his head 'no'. Air I was apparently holding in excapes my lungs quickly.
"Fine thanks for the personal privacy. " My legs pick up the pace making me jog ahead and into school swiftly taking me to the class I was nearly late for.____________________________________
By lunch I'm not even hungry. My stomach is still in a sinking feeling from when id snapped at Jacob.
Sitting on the ground near some doors I take a drawing pad out. One buildings I generally see moss spreading across the walls. A few have grass green vines with flowers sprouting off.
"James can we talk about earlier now? " Tension stabs at my body just hearing Jacobs words. "You clearly saw something and I'm concerned. "
The sinking feeling continues making me feel sick. Taking a breath I look over at him. "Jacob why won't you leave it be? " I'm keeping my wall up not showing the emotion that's hammering at my voice.
"Because something is wrong and I wanna help. " Jacob said plenty of emotion cracking through. "You space off in a daze and nobody says anything about it. People talk about you. I've been told to stay away but I'm still here so open up. "
My eyes are stinging. Nobody has ever been so nice to me. I don't want to scare him off.
"Jacob, I need to know you won't run off. " My voice cracks quietly not wanting to be to loud as I hold back the stinging tears.
"Why would I? " He says slowly a concerned tone in his voice. Jacobs full attention was on me.
"I hallucinate. I saw a wolf behind you in the woods. " I don't know why but I'm telling him. The one person who's showing concern. "Please don't act weird. "
Jacob let's what I said sink in. He nods slowly. "What all do you see?" This question catches me off guard making me think for a second.
"Well. I see a lot of stuff. " Shrugging I glance at the walls. "The walls have Moss and ivy growing on them. "____________________________________
After school I walk back to the woods. Where everything feels okay for awhile. Upon arriving I see the wolf. Standing there calmly. It circled around me before following beside deeper into the forest.
"It's you again. Maybe I should give you a name. " Continuing onward I stop at ruins of an old house. The roof had already fallen in and no there were stairs that lead to no where yet they keep going higher and higher.
"How about Luna? That sounds perfect. " Luna Sat down next to me calmly setting her head onto my lap gracefully as I took my drawing pad out.
