Music : Where the Light is - Surfaces

Jimin sighed at the table, head in his hands. He had spent the past half hour staring at his phone screen waiting for something to happen, anything. He refreshed his feed over and over again hoping that the boredom could be cured as he waited for Hoseok to return from his work at a small coffee shop around the corner from his apartment building. The apartment was small and cosy, with one bedroom and vibrant wallpaper coating the walls of the open-plan living space/kitchen in which Jimin had been living for the past month. The couch was not the easiest place to sleep but it was more favourable than some doorway of an empty store, or the uneasy presence of his parents house.

He felt bad for living under Hoseok's roof for so long and had decided to try and find somewhere else to go, perhaps sharing an apartment with someone he knew, or even staying in a cheap hotel until he could save up the money for his own place.

The familiar sound of a key in a lock was heard as Hoseok had returned from his shift, shrugging his coat off and grinning at Jimin as he entered the room. "Good evening Hoseokie" Jimin smiled, heading over to the side to warm Hoseok some food he had cooked earlier, knowing the man would be hungry after his shift. Hoseok sighed as he sat down at the table and pulled his phone out to check it for the first time that day. "Hyung, I think I should move out soon, perhaps stay at a cheap hotel? I tried to contact some old friends to see if they had any spare rooms but they either ignored me or said they didn't." Jimin sighed, placing the bowl on the table infront of Hoseok and seating himself down on the couch not far away from the table due to the small size of the room itself. "You know Jimin I do have a friend who I could get to have you move in. He has a reasonably sized apartment with a guest room that could easily be yours, I'll call him after I've showered if you like?" Hoseok offered, not moving his head from the food infront of him. Jimin couldn't tell if he was happy or sad at the fact that Jimin was going to move out, but either way he was glad he was getting one step closer to being able to have his own room and his own space.

Later that night Jimin was sat on the couch, staring blankly at the T.V in thought as he fumbled with the drawstrings on his hoodie, legs crossed underneath him and covered by a grey fluffy blanket. "Jimin-ah, I spoke to my friend before, he said he wouldn't mind and would come and see us tomorrow to sort everything out, if that's okay." Hoseok spoke, making his way across the room dressed in a loose fitting t-shirt and baggy black joggers before sliding onto the couch next to Jimin and pulling the blanket over his legs too. Jimin nodded still in deep thought and rested his head on his best friends shoulder before sighing and closing his eyes. Hoseok said nothing and simply put his arm around Jimin to hug him closer, eventually feeling the youngers breath even out as the pair of them drifted to sleep.

Jimin woke to the smell of food. Hoseok was already awake, dressed and showered and was cooking Jimin some breakfast. Jimin stirred and rubbed his eyes, standing up and stretching, nodding towards Hoseok and giving him a small smile before plodding off to the bathroom to have a shower and prepare to be taken to what would be his new home for the foreseeable future.

He stared at himself in the bathroom mirror after stepping out of the shower and sighed at his reflection. He had a towel wrapped around his waist, wet hair occasionally dripping onto the smooth skin of his shoulders. He ran a hand through it before heading out of the bathroom and into Hoseok's bedroom and shut the door, heading to his suitcase and pulled it onto the bed in the centre of the room. He grabbed an oversized grey hoodie and some tight fitting jeans quickly dressing before returning to the bathroom to brush his teeth. The few of Jimin's toiletries were collected from the small bathroom shelf and packed into the suitcase.

He exited the bedroom just in time as Hoseok placed two plates of food onto the small table. "Good morning Jimin, my friend should be here within an hour or so, he texted me to say he would see us soon." Hoseok sat at the table as Jimin sat opposite, nodding and beginning to eat the food placed infront of him. "I will miss you Hoseokie, you will have to visit often or I'll miss you too much," Jimin smiled, looking up at Hoseok who had the same look torn between happiness and sadness written across his face. "Of course I will, you will be struggling to keep me away I would think," Hoseok laughed, his laugh cut off not long after by the sound of the buzzer signalling Hoseok's friend was here to take Jimin to his new home. Hoseok got up from his chair and went to the door, pressing the buzzer to allow his friend access to the building before opening the door and standing there waiting to welcome his friend. Jimin on the other hand gathered the empty plates off the table and placed them into the sink before standing awkwardly by the side of the kitchen counter waiting to see who he would be living with. "Ah Yoongi-ah!" Hoseok shouted, grinning wide as the man they had been waiting for stepped into the apartment, Hoseok following as the door shut behind them. "Jimin, Yoongi.. Yoongi, Jimin," Hoseok introduced leaning against the wall next to the door.

Jimin simply stared. He didn't know what else to do. The man before him had such handsome features, his blonde hair hanging across his forehead. He was dressed in black skinny jeans, a slightly too big dark blue sweater hanging off his torso. "Yoongi" Jimin muttered under his breath, liking the way the name sounded on his tongue. "Hello Jimin, Hoseok here has told me all about your situation and I'd be glad to help you out," He smiled across the room to the smaller. Jimin nodded and smiled back, mind racing as he couldn't get the deepness of the mans voice out of his head. Hoseok nodded to him and he headed towards Hoseok's room to grab his suitcase. Once in the bedroom he glanced at himself in the mirror and cursed at his appearance, the dark circles under his eyes not helping his appearance or his confidence. He sighed and dragged the suitcase out of the room, noticing Hoseok had already folded the blanket from the couch and had plopped it onto the top of the suitcase as Jimin entered the room. "Yoongi has gone down to his car and is waiting there, I really wish you could have stayed Jimin," Hoseok wrapped his arms around the younger and squeezed him like his life depended on it. "I'll miss you Hope," Jimin smiled, the nickname slipping out of his mouth and causing them both to chuckle as they exited the apartment and made their way down the stairs.

The drive to Yoongi's apartment was silent yet comfortable, the radio softly playing music through the vehicle. They drove for around 15 minutes before pulling up to the apartment block. It was tall and made of a pale white stone, Yoongi's car parking up beside it in the small car park. They reached the doors and Yoongi led Jimin up several flights of stairs, carrying his suitcase for him as Jimin looked tired as it was. They soon approached the black door of Yoongi's apartment, which when inside was simply designed with a very plain colour scheme of whites and greys. The older lead Jimin down a small hallway and to a room with a similar colour scheme to the living space of the apartment, Jimin thanking him before being left in his own space to finally breathe.
