Mafumafu's P.O.V.
I wait for {First Name} in the dark illuminated by the fountain lights in the garden behind headquarters. As it almost reached seven in the evening, I saw the ever-so-punctual General walk up to me.
"Early as always, General." I greet.
"Good evening, Your Majesty. I obviously have read you note. Are you sure you would like to do this," she asks concisely.
"I've never been so sure of anything, well next to another thing." I say.
"So you're asking me to travel with you to Astral to help negotiate a treaty?"
"Why did you have to ask if you already knew the answer?" I smile.
The left side of her lip curled up into a half-smile. "Okay then. Here's a better question. Why me? Why not Lieutenant Kuroneko or Commander Soraru?"
"Didn't you read the letter? You are my first choice. You have greater skill than two of them combined."
"Remember that I am fourth in command."
"Yes you are. The Lieutenant and Commander will have the responsibility of running this kingdom-metropolis while we are away. We will have the bigger job. Stepping on enemy soil and compromising for a deal."
"Let me guess, it takes two to tango."
I snicker at her cliche joke. "Not what I had in mind. Good question though, of choosing you. To put it simply, you were the one I have thought of first."
"When shall we start?"
"As soon as possible. At 05:00 hours."
"I'll be there sharp. Is there anything I'll need to bring?"
"I'll email you the list, it'll be short, but it'll need to be powerful."
Your P.O.V.~
My duffel dangled from my shoulder as I walk the tarmac at Cosmo International Airport. I look for the King as I approached the plane we were to board onto, and I see him there waiting for me. My feet quickened its pace to meet him where we shook hands.
"Good morning, General," he greets me as he ushers me inside. The airliner was quite spacious and I have never been inside an airplane let along leave the country. I've only ever fought on Cosmoan grounds. "It's an eight hour flight to Astral, so hopefully by 13:00 hours we will land and by 14:00 hours we will get ready for office."
"Seems like a plan to me, Your Majesty."
"Brilliant." He claps his hands twice and signals the pilot to start the plane.

I had an extravagant view of the ocean below us once the sun started to rise some two hours later. I daydream of a romantic night with the king back at Cosmo, oh how so much easier it may be to be a common man. The thought of him holding my hand made me smile to myself.
"Enjoying the ride?" Mafumafu asks, jolting me out of my imagination.
"Absolutely."
He plops a thin pile of paperwork on the table in front of us. "Shall we review?"
I look at the information that was laid out. "Perfect."
Mafumafu's P.O.V.
When we landed at Astral International, we were greeted by the King of Astral, King Amatsuki, who wasn't very easy to impress. I hear that he is well respected by his people because of his enterprises and charisma.
"Glad you made it in one piece King Mafumafu." He greeted.
"Thank you for having us, King Amatsuki," I gesture. "This is General {Last Name}, she will be by my side."
"Welcome." He says to her as she bows
"Let's get to business," she suggests, and we agree.
~~~
They had a palace which housed the royal family. King Amatsuki led us into their conference room and offered us tea and seats and that's where we got into business.
"We would like to bring an olive branch to the table because I do understand the large rivalry Cosmo had with Astral, and we would like to reverse that bad relationship."
"What are you willing to offer?"
I signal the General to pull out papers and leave her to all the explaining for she was a woman worth her words.
Four excruciating hours of negotiations passed by and we were finally dismissed. The king has decided that he was to think about the Treaty overnight.
We offered to open our ports and share our raw materials and goods with them if they do the same. We offered military services, healing aid, all the typical essentials when it came to having an alliance with another country. The general and I are to be closer to our goal.
At the end of the day, the Astral guards escorted us to our rooms that were only divded by a wall with a door in the middle. I dropped off my belongings at my room and visited the General, who was neatly storing hers.
"Walk with me." I say.
We wandered the front lawn of the Astral Palace in silence. "Beautiful night," she comments.
"Dashing, isn't it?"
"Very," she says. "Why bring me out here? I know you need to talk."
"Indeed I do." I explain, "It's for another proposal."
"Another alliance negotiation?"
I stop my feet and make eye contact with her. "No."
She cocked her eyebrow in inquisitively as if to ask, what is it then?
"It's a marriage proposal."
Her eyes widened in shock. "My King, are you insane?"
"If you call being in love insanity then yes I am insane."
"You cannot possibly be in love with me."
"How is it impossible if I already am, {First Name}?"
I held her hand tight and put it towards my lips to kiss it. Her face turned a bright pink illuminated by the moonlight and the lamppost a few meters away.
She shook her head. "Mafumafu, it's illegal-"
"I am above the law, my love. And I know you return the same affection," I pull her closer and put her face near mine. "You just say the words and I'll respect whatever decision you make."
"I-"
"I love you, {First Name}. Be my Queen."
She exhales like she has been holding onto her breath for several minutes.
"I do," she whispers. "I'll be your Queen."
I kiss her. Deeply. Passionately.
My First Choice.
