"I'm sorry..."

"It's fine."

"Are you sure....?"

"Of course."

"Alright...."

Submission. Most people think of it as a behind-closed-doors kinda thing. And well, to an extent, they're right. But it's also the constant, unnecessary apologies whenever someone expresses the smallest amount of disappointment or dissatisfaction. It's the constant feeling of worthlessness whenever a minor, unimportant mistake is made. It's the constant, unending need for reassurance when the smallest thing goes wrong.

"I'm sorry it's not perfect...."

"What do you mean?"

"I messed up...."

"The flaws are what makes it wonderful. You did great."

"Right...."

It's a horrible feeling, but it happens to me all the time. Typically when I'm on the phone and say the wrong thing without thinking. It also means that I'm more likely to walk up to my friends during a stressful day and just kinda hover until they realize what I'm doing and they start to play with my hair, which usually calms me down.
