Adoption

It was a fine day at Sunshine Animals pet store, the birds were chirping, the puppies were barking, and the odd pair of a kitten and a bunny were fooling around as usual.

The kitten was named Hobi. Hobi is a Scottish Fold with orange tinted fur. His eyes are a gorgeous shade of dark ember brown. The bunny was named Kookie and he is a lop-earred bunny with light brown ears.

Now, the pet store owner found these two in the same box behind the dumpster, cuddling each other for warmth. He took both of them in, gave them baths, and put them in their proper cages. However, the owner found something surprising about the two animals.

The bunny and the kitty couldn't be separated for more than a few minutes before the bunny started to get more aggressive and the kitten started to show signs of depression. The pair had to do everything together: bathe together, eat together, sleep together in the same cage, you name it.

Eventually, the owner just got used to it and just paired the two up in the same cage, and the two have been living together ever since.

"Kookie! Stop it!" Hobi giggled as his friend attacked his neck with kisses and licks.

Kookie continued his assault on his hyung, nibbling his neck. The other could only squirm in the younger's hold before they were quickly separated by the owner.

"KOOKIE! STOP IT! You're gonna get fur into your mouth." The owner scolded.

The bunny hissed as he held the kitten closer to his chubby bunny body. Kookie dug his paws into the kitten's soft fur as the owner sighed and just gave up. As soon as he left, Kookie turned to the elder and continued cuddling into his fur.

"Hobi, is your heat coming soon?" Kookie muttered into his fur.

Hobi's ear twitched as he felt his skin under his fur grow hot.

"I don't know, Kookie. I haven't had one yet, I'm still young." Hobi replied, as he dragged his paw on Kookie's fur.

As the two were talking, two men were staring at them with loving eyes and adorable stares through their glass cage. One of them had blonde hair while the other was sporting olive green colored hair.

"I want them, Namjoon!" Seokjin, the man with blonde hair, screamed.

"I want them too, hyung. How about we get them both?" Namjoon, the man with olive green hair, replied.

"You mean it, Joonie?" Seokjin asked with puppy dog eyes, almost killing Namjoon with how sweet he looks.

"Hyung, I swear on my life that we will get these pets and claim them as our own." Namjoon got onto one of his knees for dramatic effect.

Seokjin squealed and hugged his husband tightly, almost cutting off his air supply. After almost choking his husband, Seokjin ran up to the cage and automatically started to coo at both of the soft animals in front of him. Kookie noticed the human and instinctively pushed Hobi behind him, this action only made Seokjin fan girl even harder.

"JOONIE! Look at how protect each other! They're destined to be together! Let's get them now! We can't waste any time!" Seokjin shouted at his boyfriend who was currently rubbing his own throat.

"Right now? But Jinnie, we just moved, you might need to convince me to get them." Namjoon said.

Seokjin wasted no time pulling Namjoon behind some shelves in the pet store and kissing the life out of him. Hobi and Kookie just looked at each other with the weirdest faces ever.

"Are they mating over there?" Hobi asked.

"The hell I know, maybe humans don't the decency to not do it in front of other animal breeds." Kookie replied.

The two humans came back quickly, the man with olive green hair was in a weird daze as his husband dragged him out from their hiding place with an innocent smile.

"All right, lets get them." Namjoon sighed, defeated, trying to fix his hair.

"Love you, Joonie!" Seokjin said as he blew a kiss to the other. "Excuse me! Excuse me!"

The owner quickly ran over to Seokjin, who was waving his hand in the air like a manic.

"Yes? Yes? Welcome to Sunshine Animals pet store, how can I help you today?" The owner asked, bowing.

"I would like to adopt these two beautiful babies." Seokjin replied as he gently pressed his thumb against the glass cage and watched with interest as the kitten pushed the bunny aside to sniff the glass where his thumb is.

The owner beamed with happiness as he told him that he will be right back with the paperwork. Namjoon sat next to his husband as he wrapped an arm around the blonde male's waist. Seokjin didn't seem to notice the romantic action as he was busy playing with the kitten and observing the bunny sulking in the corner of the cage.

The owner quickly came back with a couple of pens and a few sheets of paper slipped onto a clip board for the couple to sign. Namjoon took the paperwork, knowing fully well that he will be the one to fill out all of it except for Seokjin's signature. As Namjoon scribbled out their new address and phone number, the owner pull the animals out of their cage for Seokjin to play with.

Hobi pranced around on the cold pet store floor while Kookie just sat there, dormant. Seokjin placed the bunny into his own lap as he watched the kitten play with the pen that Namjoon dropped. Kookie closed his eyes as he felt the human pet his ears and his fur, the feeling was amazing, but it felt better when Hobi did it.

Meanwhile, Hobi is just freaking out, he has never been able to play outside of his cage other than when a client wants to play with him. Obviously, this is an unreal experience for him and he wants to go everywhere, jump everywhere, explore every crevice.

Namjoon stared at the cat trying to rub his face and his tail on his kneecap. He smiled at the small little fluff ball and began to scratch Hobi's tummy with his free hand. The kitten purred and gently swatted his soft paw on Namjoon's hand. Seokjin and Namjoon could feel themselves becoming more and more whipped for these two creatures.

They were definitely adopting these two.
