The reader works with Spencer Reid as a profiler in training. She's always had a crush on the doctor but never said a word due to the fact that it had seemed that he was working towards making a relationship work. The reader can't help but wonder what he would say if she were to confess. She sees the stares and glances, so she knows that the feeling is mutual.

I'd woken up earlier than I'd intended to, which meant I was in the office earlier than normal. So when Spencer stepped into the Bullpen, I nearly jumped. "Y/N, you're here early." He points out, holding the glass door open for some invisible figure.

"Ugh yeah, couldn't sleep." I shrug off his words, glad that you would get some time alone with the brunette. He gives a small smile to me as I stand to begin walking to him, only to see a slim, shorter woman walk in, Spencer smiling at her.

"Sorry to hear that. Ugh, Agent Y/L/N this is Dani, my girlfriend." The blonde smiles widely behind glass lenses, waving from her position next to Reid.

"It's nice to meet you! Spency talks about his co-workers a lot so I've heard a lot about you." She grins before Reid leads her off to show her the office once I greet her. I fall back to my chair, watching the two of them, moving to the round room. I roll my eyes when I see the blonde draw a heart on the chalkboard, Spencer chuckling at her.

Lunch eventually came around and I was quick to snag JJ and Garcia to run to Panera. "Ok, you two need to keep a vow of silence once I tell you what I'm about to say." I ignite the conversation as JJ sits down next to Penelope.

"Alright, Y/N." She teasingly speaks, Garcia laughing.

"I'm dead serious. Reid has a girlfriend. And I hate every second of it." I spit before taking a bite of my sandwich. Garcia nearly chokes on her food at my words, taking a sip of her tea before speaking.

"Spencer has a girlfriend? How did I not know this?" She asks looking at her blonde co-worker. Jennifer shrugs as she chews.

"He mentioned he was dating but nothing serious. Guess he finally made it serious." Before JJ could even finish her sentence, I'm piping up.

"She's terrible. She's corny, she's not seemingly the brightest, which is ridiculous for Spencer considering I'm sure he'd lose his mind with stupid questions. Even more, she's the complete opposite of him. She watches Supernatural, he watches Doctor Who. She hasn't read a book that isn't about weight loss in about two years, Spencer just finished four different books within two days. They just don't and won't work." Once I finish my spiel, Penelope laughs from across the table.

"Hon, you're jealous that it's not you." She points out, taking another bite of her salad. I sit up and glare at her.

"No. They're just really incompatible. Not to mention, he can do way better." I lean into my hand, stabbing at my salad.

"Oh come on, Y/N, everyone knows you've been crushing on him since the second you got transferred to the BAU." JJ laughs, setting her drink down, Garcia giggling with her.

"She's not wrong. Even Tara's said something." Pen points out the fact before I let my silverware drop to my plate.

"I'm not jealous! I just think he deserves someone more suitable. Is that wrong of me? For a friend to want another friend to have what's best for them?" JJ and Penelope both retreat with smirks on their faces, finishing their food.

When we got back, I was unpleasantly greeted with an eager blonde sitting in my chair, staring at Reid as he did work. "Dani. Still here I see." I try my best to be cheery with her, despite the fact that I knew for a fact that if Rossi wasn't on his honeymoon, he would've kicked her out ages ago. Emily was too nice to force her out. I clearly scared the woman, as she jumped from her seat, Spencer looking up when she squeals.

"Agent L/N! You guys are so well trained, I didn't hear you come in." She jokes, causing me to flash a fake smile.

"Yep! FBI training is rigorous. It can take up to seven years for people to be ready to work for the bureau, another 20 weeks after that to graduate from the academy. But it only took me about two years." I set my purse on my desk, finding it odd that she hadn't gotten the hint that it was my desk she was at.

"Really?! Two years! Wow, I'm impressed!" Dani looks at Spencer, who was beaming in pride.

"Mhm. Y/N was at the top of her graduating class. She worked in Saudi Arabia for a few years on a case before retiring to the world of profiling." He gives me a bright smile, and I gladly returned it before looking to her. She simply smiles at me, and I could hear the room grow quiet except for the everyday background noise. Everyone was looking at her now, including Spencer. She sat oblivious for a few more moments before the youngest spoke up. "Um, honey, that's her desk." At his words, Dani shoots up, a string of apologies leaving her lips. I mouth a thank you as I sit down, beginning to pull out files.

"Well, I'm going to take that as my cue to leave." She sashays over to Spencer, a hand falling to his shoulder. I did my best to watch silently, and undetected as she presses a kiss to his forehead before Spencer presses a return kiss on her lips. She deepens it before pulling away, giving me a smile as she ruffles her boyfriends hair, waltzing out of the room. JJ begins to talk to Spencer about her, and I don't hesitate to stand up. Everyone looks to me, and I shrug.

"What?" I spit, turning on my heels towards the hall, moving to find the bathrooms. I lock myself into a stall staring at my hands. God, Garcia and JJ were definitely right. It couldn't be more obvious. But of course, Reid had been oblivious for the longest time. So, when he knocked on the door I was surprised.

"Y/N, can you come out?" His voice is soft and I groan.

"Why? So you can flaunt your relationship in front of all of us? Should I call Rossi? He seems to be missing out on the fun!" My statements are sarcastic as all hell but I don't care anymore. I was done hiding this. It had been almost two years since I was transferred, and Spencer had been the one to help me adjust to it all.

"I'm not- just come outside. Please?"

With a puff of air, I push past the stall door, and out of the bathroom, only to come face to face with the doctor once again.

"Is jealousy written over my forehead yet or do I need to spell it out for you?" I sigh before looking at the floor. Spencer just lets out a laugh.

"I should've known." I look to him with furrowed eyebrows.

"What's that supposed to mean? I've been by your side for almost two years and you're just now noticing my obvious feelings for you?" I cross my arms, looking at him with a little bit of annoyance.

"I should've known that you would be like this. I mean I knew when I brought her in that I would get the truth out of you guys, how you get about her. And from the second she stepped into the building you were all weird. Had I known that me bringing a girl around would get you to break I would've done it a long time ago." My jaw slowly opens, my head tilting in confusion. Before I can say another word, Spencer's hands are on my waist, and his lips are on mine.
