 Flora's (P.O.V)

I stared out the window looking at the children outside have fun. I envied them without them even knowing I was here. I loved how they didn’t have to care about anything. They were just happy having fun. I really wondered what that was like. To have fun until to couldn’t breath to play until the sun went down. To have your mother call you when it was time to eat. With her hugging you tightly knowing that she loves you without even saying a word. Then seeing your dad at the table as he just returned to work and was waiting for you to start eating. He smiles at you like normal and you know this is your home. And all while thinking I wonder what I could do tomorrow for fun.

Even though I could see that happening with all one of those children I now understand why I could never see it with my family. Well, the one I grew up with but that never happen to me. I would scrape for food when I was younger once I got into middle school. My parents got colder to my sister and me. They stay in that faze ever since then even when my baby brother was born. I never knew they were so cruel but I guess it made sense now why they acted in such a matter to me. And why they always stuck up for Karen when she was being such a bitch I guess.

How I longed for someone to love me like before when I was just a little kid in elementary when everything was much more simple than before. I wonder when I thrown into all this shit but I guess I am to blame. I should have given up years ago when I was going to kill myself. Things like this wouldn’t have mattered if I were just dead. I wouldn’t have to dead with all the bull in my world. But then I wouldn’t have met Danny. When I told hazel my mother I guess when Danny was the person I had to save it was true. I believe that if I protected Danny from the cruel indifference of my parents I could one day protect myself. The funny thing was the day I found out I was going to be an older sister again I had stolen pills from a drug dealer and was planning on over dosing. But Karen texted me right as I was about to do it “we’re going to be big sisters!” I had stopped completely what I was about to do because of him. Danny saved my life and I was going to be the best sister for him in return.

I never had the guts to tell anyone about what had happen so I destroyed everything that made my former self. And changed into a person who was able to care for a baby. Because of Danny I guess you could also say that he changed me for the better. And that made my life better entirely; it gave me a reason to live. So I guess thinking about it yes it would have been great to have had a family that cared for me and love me unconditionally, but I guess danny was enough for me. My only hope for the future is to fall in fell with a man I know will make a great father of my children and who I will love with my entire heart. But hoping for something like love might be something I will never receive. My lucky is just the worst looking at my life so far it sucked.

“Mommy?” hearing that word made my heart leap as I knew who it was. I turn to see Danny looking at me with his big eyes. I didn’t know what to do but I just hugged him. He instantly did the same as he wrapped his arms around my neck as best her could. Hugging him was the best thing I could have use at this moment. I just missed him so much after everything that happen. I couldn’t see, talk, or hold him for three months since we were separated even though at times I could feel how sad he was.

“Mommy, I missed you” Danny said crying on my shoulder as I could hear his whimpers next to my ear. I told him I missed him too as my own tears fell as I was so glad to have him in my arms again. We hugged for the longest time as I sat on the bed I woke up in which begged a question at me.

“Danny listen baby. Where are we?” I told him very carefully as I looked him in his eyes. He looked confused so I asked him again and he looked surprised at me.

“Mommy it’s the alpha’s house!” alpha, who’s the alpha? What does he mean by alpha? Jeezes! Why can’t I remember what that reminds me of! That word seems so familiar to me, but why?

“Mommy I’m hungry.” I gave him a light chuckle because now I was too as my tummy let out a quite loud grumble. I have been up quite some time and I have not eaten a thing since yesterday if I remember correctly.

“Alright-y danny led the way because you apparently know this alpha’s house. Do you think you could lead me to the kitchen?” I didn’t have to finish because he goes off running to the door yelling hurry mommy hurry. I followed him slowly and grabbing on the wall because my vision was not the best per say at the moment. Danny notice how I was doing so he grabbed my hand and lead me slowly. Danny sure did get bigger since I had last seen him. His hair was longer and he grew a few. He looked over all-smarter than he did before. Was that bad to say because I felt bad?

“Be careful mommy.” Danny told me before we began going down the stairs, which left me feeling sick. The black spots began blurring my vision and I felt the erg to barf. I held on my best to the railing but it was becoming more difficult with each step.

“Flora? What are you?” before the man could even finish I was done everything as finally gone dark. I could feel my legs cave in as I felt my body fall. Not so graceful for an angel.
