I see you

"Hey, babe. I'll be late after work, but I'll bring food home, okay?"

"That's perfectly fine, I didn't feel like cooking anyway." Yoongi heard his fiance chuckle through the phone.

"Okay, see you-" "Wait, Yoongi."

Suddenly his voice didn't seem very cheerful at the moment. Yoongi brought his knees up to his chest as he cuddled on his studio couch, waiting for his coworker to finish up on his computer and show him what changes he did to the song.

"Is everything okay?" Yoongi rested his hand on his knee and began tapping to a beat he didn't even know.

He didn't answer right away.

"...I feel like you're here with me, even when I'm sure you're not." His voice sounds confident, but something was off.

This has been going on ever since the newly engaged couple moved into their first house. Yoongi had always passed it off as him being affectionate, but now Yoongi would even classify it was...clingy.

Not that Yoongi really had a problem with it, it just bothered him when he would call him at work asking if he had come home early or if he had left to work in the first place.

Was he testing his loyalty?

Yoongi doesn't know how to answer him, wondering if he should answer him at all. Luckily, he beats him to it.

"I'll see tonight, babe. 'Love you~" His fiance coos before hanging up, not waiting for Yoongi's reply. He seemed a little rushed, as if in a hurry to end the call.

Yoongi chose to ignore the fact that he heard someone talking other than his fiance on the other end of the phone.

The way he spoke to him showed many signs of tenaciousness, he even seemed a bit adhesive. However, at the same time, he seemed so...distant. That's the ironic part. How was he so close to him yet so far?

The thought echoed through his skull as he got into his car. The thought clawed at his insides as he drove down the crowded streets.

He arrived at the house, pulling into the driveway. He walks into the house, closing the door behind him.

He's nowhere to be seen. It's very...peculiar since he usually comes to greet him.

"Hey, Jimin? I'm home!" Yoongi calls out, taking off his coat and hanging it up. He leaves his bag near the door since he'll get it later on. He just wants to rest right now.

He doesn't answer, and Yoongi gets a weird feeling as he walks through the hallway. "Jimin? Where are you?" Yoongi walks into their room, opening the door quietly, just in case he would interrupt something

Jimin is sitting on the bed, clutching his phone for dear life to his chest. His eyes are large and he seems to be shaken up.

"Jimin? Are you okay? Did I scare you? I didn't mean to!" Yoongi immediately feels bad for assuming such things. He makes his way over to the side of the bed and wraps his arms around the other male, pulling him into a hug.

Jimin doesn't say anything at first, only dropping his phone by his side and wrapping his arms around Yoongi's neck. Soon, he pulls Yoongi deeper into the embrace and clutches his shirt.

"What's wrong, baby?"

You know that feeling when you're watching a horror movie with a friend; you're not interested in the movie but it still scares the hell out of you when your friend jumps or when your friend clutches onto your side? It's normal, and it's a feeling we have every day. When a friend is in a good mood at school and you pick up that energy. When a friend is feeling down or upset and you pick up that energy, too. That's normal. It's one of the many signs of being an empath.
