Boris let out a sigh, leaning his back against the tree. He was alone at camp and kinda felt left out of the trials. Then Luna, Claudette, and Hope walked back to the camp. Luna’s hands buried in her jacket pocket, her head hung. Boris got up, looking down at Luna.
“So, she-”
“Yeah.. she’s gone.” Luna cut Boris off, walking past him and to her tent. Boris just watched her go before looking at Hope. “Don’t worry too much, okay? She’s just guilty that she can’t do anything for her.” Boris simply nodded and sat down.
“After these trials, we should be done. We definitely need to bring the mood up and try to get out of here.” Hope told him. “Yeah, so then why are you over there at the killer side?” Boris asked, tilting his head slightly.
“If we are using hope against it, we need the killers to be friends too and to form bonds to one another. That way, the killers could help us escape.” Hope explained, making Boris nod. “Sounds good. Well, wake me up when you do, I need my beauty sleep,” and with that, he walked towards his tent.
___Smug groaned, looking over to see Kate laying on his chest. He prods her side, making her shifted, muttering, “Stop, that tickles.” Smug smiled at this and continued until she was wide away, making her huff. Her locks bouncing on her shoulders and covered the side of her face.
Smug blushed at the sight, holding her hand. “There’s somewhere that I want to show you. It’s a bit far but I heard Meg and Nea talking about it.” Smug explained, helping Kate up, who was still rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
Smug had saved up enough of his iridescent shards a got a new outfit. He had a black shirt that read, ‘funny how things work out. I’m not one of those things’ that had the shoulders cut off. It had grey cargo pants that were a perfect fit. It definitely was comfortable; a lot more bearable than the constant suit and jeans, which were dirty and bloody.
Smug smiled, noticing that Kate had gone outside when he changed. She giggled at what he was wearing and he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed what she was wearing. She was wearing jeans that had a grey belt looped around it. The crop top she had on was the American flag and the bottle had a little tie. The sleeves were cut and showed off her tattoo sleeve and her sunglasses were sitting nicely on her head.
“Woah, you- I- just... Woah.” Smug blushed, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. “Well, c’mon. Ya got me up and everythin’ so let’s get a-movin’.” She giggled, walking towards the border. Smug jogged up to her, smirking and taking her hand.
They walked for what seemed for ten minutes, Smug leaving a trail back by snapping branches every few steps. He did this because it looked somewhat natural and they wouldn’t be followed if say he laid down a string to follow.
The roaring sound of water was gradually getting closer which made Kate’s eye grow wide. “You took me ‘ere?? Really?? I’ve been wantin’ to go ever since Nea and Meg went!!” Kate exclaimed, jumping up and down then tackling Smug in a hug, which nearly sent them both flying to the ground.
Smug blushed, looking at her while his head laid in the grass and she was still giggling before realizing their position. Kate just smirked at him, planting a tender kiss on his cheek before getting up and offering her hand. Smug’s could feel his entire face burn as Kate helped him up, grasping his hand.
They walked towards the landscape, their eyes scanning over the lovely area. The grass ended and was replaced with rock that was split off two ways. The left path was circling around a pool of water while the right path when up towards the waterfall. This was the perfect height that you could jump into the water.
