Evan laid on the floor right next to Herman’s bed, he was in a few trials but he all the survivors go, protesting that as long as Herman was inactive, he wouldn’t move. Evan sighed, constantly scolding himself of what he did. He just wanted to hold Herman, hold him tight only to return the favor.
He sighed, sitting up and holding Herman’s hand. “I wish you could hold mine... I would give anything just to feel your fingers in between my own..” Evan whispered, having his head on Herman’s chest.Philip then peaked in, feeling the distress in the room. “E-Evan?” He muttered, uncomfortable. Philip didn’t like Evan because before Herman came, it was him, Evan, Billy, Myers, Lisa, and Sally. During these times, Evan would tease and bully him because he was the weakest out of them all.
“Weak killer!” He taunted and would scoff if he only got two people dead, even though the other two survivors escaped because of a stupid key. Although, when Herman was introduced, Evan mellowed out, most of it was because Herman would lecture him about being rude.
On the other hand, Philip enjoyed having Herman around and it was the second reason he took up Hope’s offer. The real reason he was able to convince as well, he liked her. Though, knowing what the Entity was doing to Herman and Evan, he wasn’t so sure it was a good idea.
Evan barely moved his head up at him, still holding onto Herman’s hand. “He’s cold..” Evan muttered, he let a few tears slip from his eyes. Philip saw this, walking over and nearly stepped on his mask that lied on the floor.
That was the last thing Philip needed to know that something was wrong. Evan nearly strangled Myers when he secretly stole one of the famous ‘Trapper’s’ mask, or so what the survivors called him. Evan loved his masks more than anything but seeing it on the ground now, Philip knew Evan was depressed.
“He’ll be okay.” Philip told him.
“He’s cold,” Evan hissed, his tears dying. He had no more left; they were all gone. Now, Evan just looked at the unconscious Herman and sighed. “What are you doing here?”
Philip took in a shaky breath. “Hope-”
“What about Hope?!” Evan exclaimed, jumping up.
Philip gulped when Evan towered over him, grabbing him by the shirt. “What happened to Hope!?” Evan demanded.
“N-Nothing!” Philip whimpered, his hand over Evan’s. Philip pleaded with Evan, his eyes wide with fear. “Sh-She wanted to know if you guys were okay.” Philip whimpered, his head hung.
Evan sighed and let go but Evan’s hands were on Philip’s shoulder. “I’m sorry.”
Philip’s looked up at him in disbelief. Sorry?!
“Sorry!?” Philip exploded, shoving Evan back. Rage clouded his eyes; Philip finally snapped and he through an accusing finger in Evan’s face. “After all the mental and physical abuse you put me through, tell me I was weak and the number of times you spat in my face,” Philip’s voice trembled with rage, clenching his fist. “all you have to say is you’re sorry!?”
Philip hissed those last two words like it was poison but stopped when he noticed that Evan looked at the floor, guilty. “Th-Yes, that’s all I can say.. but I hope that I could help you in the future.” Evan told him, lifting his gaze and looking Philip head on.
His gaze wasn’t threatening but it wasn’t pleading. Though, Philip couldn’t be angry at him anymore and looked over to Herman, his jaw dropping. Evan turned around to see an empty bed.
