It was surprisingly easy for Hoseok to settle into his new life.
School was great when he didn't focus on his ignored school work that was progressively pilling into a metaphorical unsteady heap that would soon tumble over and crush the very life out of him. Instead he focused on dancing and the many -very many- friends he'd made in his short time here.

He can't say he can complain living with Yoongi. Well he can because Min Yoongi is the best god damned roommate to probably ever exist and he's now giving the poor male heart boners too. Hoseok was always a little bit of a neat freak. Not enough that seeing a few things in disarray would send him into cardiac arrest but just enough that he liked to have his general environment tidy as often as possible. Yoongi just happened to be a god sent angel who met Hoseok's picky standards on cleanliness. They both slipped easily further into an easy domesticity. Hoseok not even realizing when he somehow knew how Yoongi liked his coffee in the morning,Yoongi knowing to always add a couple cans of sprite to his -now their- grocery list because he noticed Hoseok happened to be fond of the drink. Hoseok coaxing Yoongi to eat whenever the older started spending an alarming amount of time in his room cum impromptu studio by slipping him meals or flat out dragging him out. Yoongi being caring in his subtle ways by offering to go out with Hoseok, for even as small as a walk, when he notices the younger begins to get jittery from being inactive for to long.

Amongst other things Hoseok finally spends his first chuseok holiday with his mother -and her now not so mystery man- and his sister Jiwoo . The choice on whether or not to invite Yoongi had been levied on Hoseok by his mother and he knew it was her lowkey trying to see if they were friendly enough with each other and Hoseok would rather her think of them as unfamiliar than have her realize he was lusting after his step brother. So inviting Min Yoongi felt like setting himself up for a disaster waiting to happen. Except there was no chance for disaster. Funny enough it's him who has to reject an invitation to spend thanksgiving with Yoongi and his friends when his hyung asks. All shy and hesistant. He almost feels bad when he notes the slight disappointment from the older but he misses his mother and that is strong enough to win for now. He hates that he can already see Yoongi as someone he could potentially choose to spend time with over family. But then again Yoongi was family and that was a really big issue Hoseok didn't like facing.

He'd grown closer with Yoongi's friends and somewhere between his birthday and New Years he mets Kim Namjoo. The first and apparently closet female friend of Yoongi's. She's tall. Nearly surpasses even Hoseok in height. He wants to hate that her generous bust is the first thing he notices about her but at least it's a bit of reassurance that not every girl can be easily overshadowed by Min Yoongi's prettiness in his head.

She's the same age as Hoseok although already in her sophomore year -same as Yoongi and also studying music- and they get along pretty well despite their almost clashing personalities. The first time they really meet it was almost startling how easily Jeongguk who was usually kissing up to Yoongi was looking at Namjoo like the girl placed the moon and stars heavens. Hoseok hates how relaxed he feels with Jeongguk acting like a blushing school girl every time Yoongi so much as breathes.

"He's just a little in love with people he cares about and all that time with Seokjin made him a bit of a flirt. Soon he'll be all over you. Don't take it too seriously."
Yoongi had explained as if it was the easiest and most common thing in the world when Hoseok had dared to voice his thoughts to the older. He was only a little terrified at the prospect of having the kid started treating him as the others. Stealing loving stares when his hyungs and noona couldn't catch him and acting awe struck by their very presence while still managing to be a brat when they gave him the attention he clearly craved.
But the way Yoongi says it,so confident that Hoseok will remain a close part of their little family long enough to have Jeongguk that comfortable with him has something warm and bright blooming in his chest. And he guesses it wouldn't be all bad.

It's from Namjoo he finds out about Yoongi's reputation in the underground rap world. The girl herself being a well known rapper in the scene herself. Although all compliments and truths of the rappers' popularity are revealed by excited fanboy Jeon Jeongguk. Luckily Seokjin was there to help confirm that Jeongguk wasn't totally exaggerating and somehow Hoseok finds himself now tagging along with Yoongi in late hours of the night to small gigs and battles. It's almost funny how a few months of living with Yoongi had been enough to convince him there was no possible way he could get any more attracted to the older but there was just something -some unexplainable raw feeling- that oozed from Min Yoongi aka Suga as he spit fiery bars with lyrics deep, hard hitting and sometimes just plain filthy as easy as he breathed. And it did something to Hoseok. Made those small flames of lust he kept tamed and under wraps burn bright and so hot inside him he feels he could burst with every second that passes with Yoongi performing. Any normal, self preserving individual with even a sliver of common sense would probably do their best to avoid any situation that could lead to them making heinous decisions -in this case letting Yoongi realize Hoseok wanted to rearrange his guts in the dirtiest ways possible- but Hoseok seems to loose all grasp of common sense and proper reasoning when a particular cross dressing, bar spitting, gummy smiling, thick thighs,Min Yoongi was involved. So every chance he gets he makes sure he's right there in the crowd of adoring fans -because Suga and Rap Monster,Namjoo's alias, just happened to be popular fuckers and had racked up quite the fan base- and feeling oddly prideful that at the end of the night not any of these people would have the honor of taking Yoongi home but him. Even if it wasn't in the sense he hoped it was.

Until he wasn't.
