Shane nearly jumped out of his bed when he saw the girl had replied. he immediately called the rest of the squad over and made them look at his screen.

velvetdreams in reply to shanedawson: there you go, let's chat.

there was not a trace of enthusiasm on her response but everyone was excited about it nonetheless. she ignored every mention she got on any social platform ever since the news came out, so it was the first time she had replied to anyone in months. Shane looked over to Andrew with a shocked expression, then turning it into a serious face.

"we have to rescue this girl, don't we?" he asked, to which his cameraman nodded enthusiastically.

"this girl used to be such a delight to watch, I honestly used to enjoy all of her videos until this shit happened" he admitted from behind the camera. he had watched many of her videos before everything went down and loved to just sit there and listen to her talk about her day or anything at all, he felt some sort of connection with her even though they had never met before. he just felt comfortable in her presence, even through a screen.

"I'll talk to her and try to get us an interview. We should all come up with questions I could ask without being too straightforward or intrusive." he murmured while facing the squad. "I don't want to make her uncomfortable or anything."

they all agreed that it was a good idea and started working on it. Morgan and Garret went to separate rooms because they couldn't focus or be serious if they were together and Ryland went over to his room in search for a little bit of quietness. Andrew and Shane just sat there and took out paper and a pen, brilliantly brainstorming in proof that they were a fantastic creative duo. while they were at it, Shane and youtube's sweetheart kept on chatting until he popped the question.

and so it began.
