DOCTOR STEPHEN STRANGE was a renowned neurosurgeon. And then he was a surgeon. And then he was a veterinarian. And then he was a botanist. And then he was a psychiatrist. And then he was a— simply put, Stephen mastered a great deal of all known medical science on earth. He was a multi-disciplinarian. Always learning. Growing bored after discovering all his home planet had to offer, Stephen proposed that there were more unknown cures in space.
Dr. Stephen Strange WAS a renowned neurosurgeon. And then he was a Starfleet officer.

CHARACTER SUMMARY:
Impressing all of Earth with his brilliant work as a neurosurgeon, the proud, yet selfless Dr. Stephen Strange quickly studied all other types of medicines just in time to get noticed by Starfleet; for he was always on a journey to discover more treatments for patients and once he learned every medicine there was to know on Earth, he realized there was more knowledge in the stars. First working for Starfleet at a medical research team in space, his notes had passed the desks of higher ups in Starfleet. Thus he was promoted to transfer to the Avenger as chief medical officer.
