"Saiki's Speech"
'Saiki's Thoughts'
'thoughts'
"Speech"Teruhashi POV
As I'm heading towards school, blessing everyone on the way with my presence, I hear a multitude of "Offu"s. I give off a smile and wave to most of the people who give me an "Offu" because that's what Perfect Pretty girls do. As I stare at the faces of the entranced people who've been blessed by my radiating beauty, an image of a face I've never seen that expression pops to my head. 'Saiki', I immediately think. Regardless of what I tried, I have never been able to get an "offu" out of Saiki in all the time I've known him.'*Sigh* I wish I can get an "offu" out of Saiki today' I thought, as my mind started dreaming up fantasies involving Saiki. As these fantasies started filling up my thoughts, my body went into autopilot as I was still walking to school. In fact, I was so deep in thought that I hadn't noticed the person who turned around the corner and walked right into them, causing the other person to fall down. I was immediately horrified that a Perfect pretty girl like myself could have been so rude as to bump into someone like that, so I was quick to apologize to the person.
"I am so sorry for bumping into you! I should've been looking more carefully as to where I was going!" I exclaimed, while simultaneously going into a 90-degree bow.
"It's alright, don't worry I should've been more careful as well."
I come out of my bow slowly, taking a look at who I bumped into; It was a medium height girl with light pink hair and glasses. She is wearing the uniform of PK Academy, but I haven't seen her at our school before. 'She must be a new transfer student. There's no way I would forget a student in our school'. As I am pondering this, she seems to have come to the same realization that both of us are in the same school, as I hear her say "Are you a student of PK Academy?". This snaps my attention back to reality, and I quickly put on my perfect smile.
"Yes, I am! Would you happen to be a transfer student? I don't remember seeing you at the school before."
"I am indeed a transfer student. Would you mind showing me the way to the school? I seem to have lost my way."
"Of course! I'm heading there, so you could just tag along! My name is Teruhashi, it's nice to meet you!"
After I say that, I can see the transfer student's expression change to that of shock and cautious joy. I glance over at her curiously, tilting my head to the side a bit. 'Did I say something wrong? We've had enough conversation for this stun to have been caused by my beauty'.
"K-k-Komi? Is that you?"
I feel my eyes widen upon hearing that statement, just I can sense an involuntary gasp from my mouth. My arms immediately go to cover my mouth, while my eyes start tearing up, making my eyesight slightly fuzzy at the possibility of who the person before me is. The only person to have called me Komi was..."Kuriko!", I squealed in immense joy, as I just met one of my closest friends.
"You know Komi, I never expected to run into you when I joined this school."
"And here I thought you actually missed me," I said, as I tried to fake pout, but ended up failing and involuntarily having a Cheshire grin plastered on my face.
"Well let's get a move on Kumi. I don't want to be late on my first day. And besides, I need to go speak with the principle."
As we start walking towards school, I ask her "So you won't attend the first period?"
"Nope. I'll be there for the second one though."
We then walk in silence for a bit, as I let my mind wander off again. Instead of jumping directly to fantasies with Saiki, my thoughts are split this time around, with half my mind wandering off to Saiki again, while the rest of it is focused on Kuriko. I smile as a thought crosses my head. 'It's been years since we've seen each other, and our meeting again was blind luck. I guess it's god favouring his favourite little angel'.
"Kumi?"
".....Hmm? What is it Kuriko?"
"You do realize that I'm letting you go without grilling you first, right?"
My heart skips a beat, and I feel my face flush at the implication of the questions she'll be asking. I let out a nervous chuckle, hoping I haven't given her more material than she would've gotten, but I doubt that's the case given the smug look she's giving me based on my reaction.
"A-about what?"
"Oh not much. Just some little things...."
Hearing this, I was visibly far more relaxed. That is until I heard what Kuriko had to say next.
"...such as who exactly you were daydreaming about back there."
*Gulp* 'H..h..how'd she know! I can't let my crush on Saiki get public, or else I might cause a war over my beauty'. "I h-have no clue what you're talking about!"
"Well, I guess I'll probably meet him when we get to school. Don't be a meany and introduce us, alright?"
"I'm not rude! Of course, I'll introduce y- wait..... Kuriko!". At this point, I probably resembled a tomato splat on a brick wall with how red I looked. As Kuriko chuckles at me and embarrassed antics, I hide my face in the comfort of my palms.
"Is that our school? And who's the guy at the entrance with the red pyjamas?"
I look up from my hands to stare at PK Academy.
"Yeah, that's our school. The person in unique clothing at the entrance is our gym teacher, Mr.Matsuzaki. Now come one, this way! You wanted to go to the principles office right? I'll show you there before I head over to class."
"Thanks for the help, Kumi!". At that, I took Kuriko past the uniform inspection and directly towards the principles office.
A/N. Welp, here's another entry just as I promised. I'll put out another chapter by tomorrow night at the latest. Chapter 3 will have flashbacks, showing Kusuo and Kuriko's relationship when they were kids.
