(Audrey's POV)

"Stop whining!" Luke said in a joking tone. "We're almost there." He gave me a sweet smile. Darn you and your good looks.

"Fine." I sat back in my seat and crossed my arms over my chest.

Soon enough we were back in the city and I could actually make out where we were again. He pulled into a random parking garage.

"Where are we?" I asked. I was mildly confused.

"I have no idea, let's go anywhere." He gave me a smirk once again.

"We are gonna walk?" I looked at him, he was still smirking.

"Yup, we are in New York City right? I bet we will find something to do."

"Okay..." He was staring off into space, must of zoned out. Am I that boring?

"Oh! I have an idea!" He practically shouted, snapping out of his stare into space.

He jumped out of the car and before I could even touch the handle he swung the door open. He gave me one of the biggest smiles I had probably seen him do. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the car. We quickly ran down the stairs that were placed on the side of the parking garage and onto the street.

He turned his head and spotted a store. Starbucks.

His eyes immediately grew big and brighter than they were before. I didn't even think that was possible. What a white girl.

"Are you tired?" He asked me stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. Which earned us a lot of rude looks and comments from the people around us.

"Uh-I don't know. Kinda, why?" I was really confused now.

"Good, we have to get coffee. This is gonna be a long night." He said as he took off towards the Starbucks.

He was still holding my hand and I was struggling to get through the large amounts of people. I always wished New York was less crowded.

We finally reached the Starbucks and we stood in line waiting for our turn.

"A coffee frappe for me and..." He turned to me for my order.

"A caramel macchiato for me please."

We waited for our drinks to be ready, it was taking forever and I wanted to just leave and get on with whatever Luke had in mind.

"A coffee frappuccino and a caramel macchiato for Rosi-Luke?"

Behind the counter stood a short blonde, she was very attractive, she had red lipstick on and her features were perfect.

"Sophie?" His eyes widened and he stood there completely still as if he was a wax figure or something.

"I haven't seen you in months! What are you doing here?" She asked excitedly.

"Um- getting coffee, cause it's uh-Starbucks. With my friend Rosie uh-here." He kept stuttering. Who was this Sophie girl?

He stepped aside so I could be seen from where she was standing and her smile immediately dropped to a straight line once her eyes met mine.

She looked me up and down as best she could from behind the counter that was way too tall for her height.

What a jerk. Who looks someone up and down when you meet them? Whatever. I may just be overreacting, she could be a very nice girl and maybe I'm just a very judgmental person.

After a few moments of awkward silences

she spoke up.

"Who the hell is this Luke?!" She almost yelled.

What the heck? Well I guess she isn't nice after all.

"Rosie, I just told you." She looked back at him with a glare then back at me.

"I thought we had something Luke? Her mood changed from angry to sad very quickly.

"I broke up with you 4 months ago. Rosie and I aren't dating, Sophie. You need to calm down." He said backing away from her.

She only stepped closer.

"Don't tell me to calm down when my love of my life is standing in front of me with some- some slut!"

Her words hurt, a lot. Why did she think I was a slut? He just told her we weren't dating.

"What the hell, Soph-" He got cut off when her hand met his face. She slapped him, hard. Luke didn't even deserve that.

If I wasn't so shy she would be the one getting slapped.

He cupped his face with his hand and glared at her. He grabbed the two coffees and handed mine to me.

He grabbed my hand with his free hand and quickly walked out of the Starbucks.

We walked for a while, not saying a word. I don't even know if he knew where he was going.

"Are you okay?" I was genuinely concerned. Not only for his feelings but for his face too. She hit him really hard for a small girl, plus I think she was wearing various rings.

He nodded, "Sorry about her. She's a bitch sometimes. It's why I broke up with her."

I simply said, "It's alright."

Once we were walking for a while I spotted central park. Wow. We were really far from where the apartment building is.

"Do you wanna go to the park?" He asked, he was reading my mind. I was nervous about it though. Central park in the middle of the night isn't exactly the safest place to be.

"Um sure, I guess. We could be killed in there you know? I've heard stories that it's creepy in there at night."

He chuckled cause of how much of a whimp I am. "I'll protect you."

"Yeah, yeah. Let's go."
