A change of heart

Hyunseong's POV

I was on my way home when I saw Youngmin showing off to Kwangmin again. "Youngmin what did I tell you?" I scold him. Appa don't be mad at hyung I was the one who asked him to show it to me.

(Flashback)

The night when Youngmin's power manifested a tragedy occurred to Kwangmin. Youngmin lost control and hurt his twin. I rushed to Kwangmin when I saw him being cuddled by his older brother unconscious immediately I placed my hand on Kwangmin's wound healing him and removing the memory of the event. Youngmin was watching me closely as I saved his brother's life with eyes full of confusion. "I'll explain everything later, for now, let's make Kwangmin comfortable, put him on the bed, and let him rest," I said. After putting Kwangmin on the bed I led my eldest son to the living room. "I supposed you have a lot of questions for me?" I said. "How did you do that father? What happened to me just now? How come I was able to throw Kwangmin using just one hand?" he bombarded. "Whoa there cowboy, ask one question at a time. I'll explain everything to you but you need to promise me that you'll broaden your mind okay?" I said calmly "Yes father," he replied. "First, you need to understand that we are not normal human beings. To be exact we are celestial beings you're a gumiho," I started. I can tell that he is shocked by what he is hearing but he is determined to learn everything. "We are immortal being, I have been living in this world for 250 years when I met your mother and fell in love with her," I continued "Dad what's a gumiho?" he asked. "A gumiho is a celestial fox being. We can control the elements and we possess strength beyond normal humans that is why you were able to throw your brother with ease. We also have healing abilities we can heal others by touching them just like what I did to your dongsaeng," I explained. "Why didn't I feel it in me?" he curiously asked. "Well, technically this is the first time that your power manifests," I replied "Is Kwangmin the same as me?" he quizzed. There it is the question I wanted to avoid at all costs until now I don't know how to explain that only the firstborn child can inherit the power even for twins. I paused for a second trying to think of the best way to answer his question. "Youngmin you need to understand that being a celestial being is not given to everyone only you possess this power. I want you to promise me that you will try to control it. Kwangmin might end up in a much worst situation if you won't learn how to control it," I said. "I don't want to hurt Kwangmin ever again appa will you teach me how to use my powers?" he asked. "I will but we'll keep it a secret from Kwangmin until he's ready arasseo?" I said. "Ne, Arasseo," he answered. "Are you two done talking?" said a familiar voice.

Donghyun's POV

(Flashback)

I saw my son and grandchild talking when I arrived.

"Are you two done talking?"

"What are you doing here?" Hyunseong asked.

"Appa who is he?" said the child.

"Is that the way you talk to your father?"

"He's your father appa?" the child said wide-eyed.

"Yes, Youngmin I'm your grandfather."

"It's been a while Hyunseong," I said. I know I banished my son when I learned that he fell in love with a human. But everything changed when I saw how cute my grandsons are. I've watched them grow up and even gave them blessings to keep them safe from harm.

"Appa I'm hungry. Who is he?" Kwangmin said while yawning. Aigoo he's really cute.

"Kwangmin!" Youngmin came running to his dongsaeng and hugging him. "This is our grandfather Kwangmin," he introduced.

"Hello, Kwangmin."

"Annyeong grandpa."

It's time for me to visit my grandchildren again. Hyunseong was scolding Youngmin about something when I arrived.

"Yah what's happening here?"

"Appa is mad at Youngmin because he showed me his powers," Kwangmin said. "But it's not his fault grandpa I forced hyung to show it to me," he added

"Well, you've heard the child don't make a fuss over small things Hyunseong,"

"Hmpf, since when did you care for my sons,"

"Run along now children your father and I have something to discuss," I said. "What do you want from me, father?" he demanded. "I came to discuss your plans for Kwangmin," I asked. "What do you mean?" he asked curiously. "We both know Kwangmin is human don't you have any intention of making him immortal? I know of a way to do this," I said.
