I grasped tightly to your hand,
Tears rushing down my face.

The rain pounded the ground outside,

THUD, THUD, THUD, THUD,

Yet my heart was pounding harder.

Gasping for air,
I saw the world around me engulfed,
Completely swallowed by the darkness.

And although I felt the warmth from your hand,
I had gone blind with fear.
How much?
How longer could I hold on like this?
