In Honor of You

This poem in dedicated to a person who has been there for me when I have struggled the most.

I am not afraid no more,
I am not that shy girl who I was once before.

For I am now strong,
And proud to be me.
With a surge of self confidence,
I can finally see.

For you, my wonderful friend;
Have taught me that.
Let the haters hate,
And the others decide the facts.

Its only now that I realize,
How much I grew;
How far I've come,
Because I had you.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you. Thank you for being there when I had everything, and nothing left to lose. <3
