The lockdown had been a tough one for the Losa family. Teresa had been quite overprotective, and everyone assumed it was due to the lockdown. It wasn't.
Emily's visit had shocked her. She knew the woman meant no harm, but they use to be good friends, they were practically sisters. Teresa knew nothing would stop Emily from getting her 'fairytale'.
Staying at the club house helped ease her worries, as she knew Emily wouldn't go anywhere near the Mayans. Trusting the club to keep her safe, Teresa tried to continue about her days as normal as possible, but she found it difficult. From the club following her like lost puppies to Grace acting out, it hadn't been a fun couple of weeks.
Grace was confused as to why her Uncles were always around but her father wasn't. She didn't understand that he was busy. She had constantly been asking where her father was and wasn't pleased when her mother told her he was working. She threw tantrum, after tantrum that wouldn't end until she heard or saw her father.
Teresa had rung Bishop the first few times but she knew she couldn't continue disturbing him. Her own father had helped, but there wasn't much for a 7-year-old to do at a butcher shop.
That's when the club stepped in. Each member had their own designated day to spend with little Gracie. It was times such as these that Teresa was grateful to have the club by her side.
With two weeks past, it was the end of the week and the end of the lockdown. There was no better way for Teresa to celebrate freedom than at the annual Mayan bbq.
Teresa had always looked forward to this event since the first time Bishop had asked her to accompany him.
All of the Mayan charter's came together along with their families, to enjoy a day of games, food, drinking, and generally a good time.
Teresa was looking over her outfit in the mirror. She was wearing her favourite red knee-length summer dress, that had thin straps and a low neckline, which Bishop did not like. She had kept her makeup minimal, just a little mascara and lipgloss, and her chocolate brown hair was in its natural waves, draped over her shoulders.
"Mi hermosa esposa." Teresa heard, smiling as she recognised the voice. Looking back into the mirror she saw her husband leaning against the doorframe of their bedroom.
Bishop walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "I think we should skip the bbq and go straight to dessert." He whispered, trailing soft kisses up her neck causing her to pull away when he got to her sweet spot.
Teresa knew if she let him continue then they'd never make it to the bbq. "Nu-uh, I'm not turning up late like last year." She told him with a little chuckle, thinking back to how last year, they were the main scandal at the bbq.
"Is Gracie ready?" She asked him, fixing the collar on his shirt before adjusting his kutte. "Yeah, but she wants you to do her hair," Bishop replied, with a smile.
Teresa rolled her eyes, nodding her head in response before beginning to walk away when he stopped her.
Gently grasping her arm, Bishop pulled her close bringing his other hand up to cup her face. The worrying expression on his face caused Teresa to be concerned. "What's wrong?"
"I love you, Teresa, so much." He said softly, causing a small smile to form on her lips.
She brought her hands up to cup his face, as she spoke. "I love you too, but babe we're gonna be late." She chuckled a little, pecking her lips before leaving to finish getting their daughter ready.

After an hour drive, they finally made it to their location. With the power that the Mayans MC had, they were often the only ones at the park on the day of the bbq.
