as the humans being chased by the goblins got closer i had the giant spiders i had summoned stand in the door ways to the mazes to guide the humans deeper into the dungeon and had more spiders behind them so the spiders could stop the goblins from fallowing the humans in.
i had a feeling that if they weren't so weak then when they arrived they would have killed the spiders but i don't think they will right now. As they got closer I finished making ajustments so accommodate the coming humans and soon the first of the humans arrived.
They stood there a stood around for few moments while others arrived and when about half of the humans arrived they plunged down the path into me. It only took them a few seconds to arrive in the first room and they didn't even stop to glance down the corridors blocked by the giant spiders as they charged deeper. By the time they reached the second room the last of the humans had entered and were gathered in the first room where they sat conversing abongst themselves looking at the spiders and the door ways.
When they had taken to long the I forced the spiders to point in the way of the open door way that the other group had charged down. The sounds of goblins coming behind them seemed to give them that little bit more modivation to continue forward and one of them turned and looked back into the room in time to see the goblins arrive and start fighting with the giant spiders that now blocked the goblins paths. I was amused by the look of utter confusion on their face as the sight before they turned their head and ran down the hall way after the others.
By the time the last of the humans were about half way down in the largest wave of the goblins arrived as the spiders completely blocked the hall way down and spiders flowed out of the labrinths to fight the goblins. I was getting a suprizingly large amount of mana from the goblins and monsters dying allowing me to endlessly supply spiders to the battle. I was able to completely hold them back till the goblins started to send in hobgoblins and goblin berserkers to rip them apart. Soon all of the humans had gathered, albeit wary of the boss, in the boss room and they all practically crapped them selves when the boss (a giant venomous centipede) got up and their panic turned to confusion when the boss moved to leave and accend trough the passages twards the surface. This was of course me moving the boss to give the spiders support against the growing waves of goblins. Of course the influx of mana from the humans meant that soon I would be able to send stronger monsters to fight them.

We had set out to face a goblin horde that was found to possibly be a threat to the kingdom as it was believed to be as big as large kingdoms army, to call their numbers endless was and understatement. The scouts had never discovered that the goblins had tousands of humans slaves to use to reproduce as fast as possible. So our largely underprepared group of solders and adventurers had set out to face the horde. When they arrived things were bleak but it only got worse as they slowly lost 3/4th of their people to the goblins. Right as he prepared to take the loss a eruption from the ground nearby seemed to catch the attention of the goblins and after a second of thought he ordered for them all to make their way as fast as they could into the hole. It was only when the arrived with the adventurers to the first space in the hole to come face to face with a horde of spiders that were supernaturally large. He then realized that he had sent them to death in a dungeon. But for some reason the spiders weren't attacking them, like the spiders were waiting for some thing. They probably are waiting for the order from the core. As he tought this the spiders turned in unison to point their mandibles twards the only not blocked door way and less than a second later he could hear the infuriated screams of the goblins and the group started down the hall. When he reached the door way he turned and he was confused by what he saw, he would have never of believed it if someone else told him about it but it was happening. The goblins were being fought by the spiders. They were monsters, both of them should have been trying to kill the humans and the goblins were trying but the spiders were stopping them from advancing and it was just somthing he couldn't wrap his mind around. After one of the spiders turned it's attention to him he turned and ran down the path to catch up with the rest of the people.
