»Jeremy's POV«

Christine asked me to meet her at a coffee shop, she said it wasn't a date, but I was already 99% she would never ask me on a date, so whatever.

I push open the door and see Christine already waiting for me at a booth. I sit across from her,

"So, why'd you ask me to meet you he(e)re?" I asked her, glancing around the cafe. She looked pretty excited for whatever she was planning.

"I've noticed you've been pretty lonely lately, you look miserable when you're around happy couples," she stated.

     "Your point is?"

"Well, it sucks seeing you so sad, and as your friend I took matters into my own hands!"

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked confused.

"I'msettingyouuponablinddate!" She blurted out. I look at her slightly embarrassed at the fact that she thinks I can't find a date on my own.

"What? I don't need a date!!"

"Your lonely butt does." Christine crossed her arms, "What about one date, then I'll leave your love life alone?"

I groan, "Christine,I'm serious, I don't need to be set up! I'm fine on my own!"

"Jeremy, you look so depressed by yourself, I'm trying to help!" She pleaded.

"Christine, I don't need help! Why do you care so much anyway?" She smiled sheepishly,

"Well, I may or may not have told one of my friends that I would set him up with someone, and I may or may not have told him it was you."

"Jesus Christ, Christine!" I sigh. "Okay, fine!" I say a bit harshly. Christine's face lights up.

"Yes! Thank you so much Jeremy!" She cheered, I couldn't help but smile a little bit at her happiness.

"You're going to love him! His name is Michael Mell and he is so nice and funny, I promise he won't disappoint you!" She smiled.

"Alright, alright, what day and time?" I said, she smiled sheepishly again.

"Today at 7." My eyes widened and I quickly checked my phone.

6:32

I only have 28 minutes! I look at her,

"Where is it?" I say, panicking.

"The cafe on 17th street," she said. I quickly got up and ran out the door, I needed all the time I could get to prepare myself psychically and mentally.
