C/N POV
It's Friday night and I'm on my way to my girlfriend Y/N's apartment. Midterms just ended and I haven't seen her in a week. Whenever I called her she sounded exhausted and stressed beyond belief. She has really bad anxiety and I have a feeling that it's going to all catch up to her tonight. That's why I'm headed there now. She shouldn't have to go through this alone.
I walk to her door and use the spare key she gave me. "Y/N. Sweets are you here?" I called out. There was no answer. "Hun I know you are really worked up and I'm here to comfort you. But you need to make a sound so I know where you are."
That's when I heard the stifled sob. I followed the noise into her study room. She was sitting on her chair with her knees up to her chest. There were no lights except for her lamp on.
"Sweetheart it's ok. Exams are over and I know you did amazing. Take your time and get it all out. I'm here if you need anything."
Y/N cried for a good half hour while I rubbed her back. I kept whispering "You are the strongest person I know" and "I love you so much" while I was comforting her.
Eventually she started taking deep breaths.
"That's it Sweets. Breath" I whispered.
Y/N leaned into me. I wrapped my arms around her tight to keep her warm. Gently I kissed her head.
"C/N can you stay here tonight?" She mumbled. "Of course I can. I'm right here."
She yawned. Poor thing, she's been working herself too hard. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to her room.
"What about my pajamas?" She yawned out. "I'll do it. Just get some rest Honey." I assured her.
Y/N stuck her arms up in the air while her eyes were tightly shut. I pulled her shirt off, being very respectful and a gentleman, and helped her unclip her bra. I got out of her dresser one of my t-shirts that I gave her and slipped it on her. Then I got out her fuzzy pajama bottoms and handed them to her. She put them on then laid down.
Taking my jacket and shirt off I climbed in next to her. Y/N was already asleep. I pulled her to me and she buried her face in my chest. My chin rested on her head.
"I love you Y/N. You are beautiful, smart and so amazingly kind. I'm so sorry exams were tough but they are over now. Rest up Sweetheart. I'm right here if you need anything." I whispered into her hair with a kiss.
We fell asleep just like that. Warm in each other's arms.
