“I’m so sorry, Victoria,” his voice keeps repeating over and over.

“Harry, I really can’t talk right about this right now, I’m at work,” I answer, checking to make sure no customers had entered during the phone call.

“Okay,” he sighs. “Will you call me later?”

“Yes, I’ll call you when I get home.”

“Okay, talk to you soon then.”

“As soon as I get home,” I assure him.

“Okay. Bye.”

“Bye, Harry,” I say as I press the ‘end call’ button on my cell phone.

I put my phone back in my pocket and head to the front of the store. For the most part, the shop had been pretty dead, other than a few older couples who came to browse around this morning. It’s nearly three now, meaning a few teenagers would be scouring the shoe racks after school.

About thirty minutes before my shift ends, I hear the alarm go off, notifying me that a customer has entered the store. “Hello. Is there anything I can help you find?” I ask the brunette girl in her school girl uniform.

“Not really, just browsing really,” she answers, looking at a pair of high heels.

“Well, my name is Victoria. Please let me know if you need any help,” I smile at the girl.

I watch as she whips her head up to face me, shock registering on her face. “Victoria?”

“Yes?”

“I know who you are!” she exclaims.

“You do?” I ask, curiously.

“Yes! I saw you on my television just yesterday! You’re Harry Styles’ girlfriend!”

“Oh, no. I’m not his girlfriend, we’re just friends.”

“That’s not what everyone on Twitter and Tumblr are saying,” she grins.

“Of course not,” I sigh, leaning against the shoe rack behind me.

Eventually, the girl finds a pair of shoes and walks them to the counter.

“Is this it?” I ask, scanning the shoe box and bagging it.

“Yes,” she answers, handing me a credit card.

I swipe the card and hand it back to her with the receipt. I then grab her shopping bag and hand it to her. “Here you go. Thank you and come back soon.”

“I will! It was nice chatting with you, Victoria,” she says with a smile as she exit’s the store.

Finally, my shift is over.

When I get home, I shower and change into my pajamas. I take my phone from its charger and call Harry back. After a few minutes of talking, he offers to bring food and movies over. I agree and head back into the bedroom to comb my hair out.

I hear the doorbell ring and I hurry to answer it, seeing Harry holding two bags.

“Come in,” I say, holding the door open for him.

“Thanks,” he says in return as he walks in, smiling. “Where do you want these?”

“Um, you can set the movies down on the coffee table and the food can go to the kitchen. I’ll get us some plates and stuff out.”

I walk to the kitchen with Harry trailing behind me. He sets the food down on the counter as I get the plates and utensils out. “Can I help with anything?” he offers.
