"Well, I guess it's time for you to go," my mom says in a sad little voice.

"Yeah, the plane is boarding," I reply, squeezing my mom's hand.

I watch as a tear rolls down my mother's cheek and she wipes it away. "I promised myself that I wouldn't cry," she says, forcing a smile.

I set my bag down on the floor and wrap my arms around her. I feel her body shake as she starts to cry. "It's okay. I'm always just a phone call away."

"I know. I just miss you when you're gone," she says, backing away and wiping the tears from her face.

"I miss you too," I hug my mom again, until we're interrupted by a voice  on the speaker that informs us that my plane is now boarding. "Guess we need to go."

    "I love you, baby girl."

"I love you too, mom," I say, giving her a quick kiss goodbye.

"It was nice too meet you, Mrs. Denise," Harry says.

"Feel free to come back anytime, Harry," she says with a smile. "Tell Liam bye for me and tell him it was a pleasure having him at our house."

    "I will," Harry promises.

"And keep my baby safe," my mother says, in a very serious voice.

"I promise," he replys, hugging my mother.

I pick up my bags from the floor with one hand and grab Harry's hand with my other. We begin walking in the opposite direction to collect Liam and then board the plane. After a few steps, I turn my head back to face my mother. "Bye," I whisper.

"Everyone will be here soon!" my aunt exclaims as she scurries around her house tidying anything that looks the slightest bit out of whack.

I leave Harry and Liam in the living room watching football with my uncle as I head off to my bedroom to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner. I plunder through my suitcase before deciding on the dress that Harry had bought me at TJ Maxx back at home. Slipping it on, I head to the kitchen to find my Aunt Lori. "Lori?" I say, peering around the corner, into the kitchen.

"Yes?" she says, turning from the sink to face me.

"Do you have any shoes that I could borrow?" I ask, walking into the room.

I watch as she eyes me, taking in my dress and mentally going through the inventory of her shoes. "I think I have the perfect match," she says, quickly walking to her bedroom. A few seconds later, she reappears in the kitchen, holding a pair of salmon colored heels. "Will these do?"

"They are so cute. I love them," I answer, taking the shoes from her hands.

"Good. Okay, so I'm going to finish the dishes and then I'm going to get ready. Do you mind running to the grocery store for me? Blake and Brett want some lemonaide to drink tonight. You can take my car."

"Sure, just let me put on these shoes and finish my makeup and I'll go."

"Awesome. Okay, so I'll leave the keys and some cash here on the counter."

"Okey dokey," I give my aunt a quick smile and walk back to my bedroom to finish getting ready.

After applying my makeup, I put on some earrings and the shoes that Lori loaned me before grabbing the car keys and money from the kitchen. "I'm going to the store for Lori, anyone want to come with me?"

"No, we're gonna finish watching the game," Harry answers without even moving his eyes from the television screen.

"Okay, I'll go by myself," I say, grabbing my purse and opening the front door.

"Wait!" I hear a voice yell from upstairs. "I want to go with you!"

"Well, come on then," I laugh as I watch my cousing Brett run down the stairs.

"So, what are we getting?" the fourteen year old asks me as she twirls around in her dress as we enter the grocery store.

"You're mother asked me to pick up some lemonaide for dinner tonight," I answer, searching the aisles.

"Good, I've been wanting some like all day," she says.

We walk down a few aisles before coming to the beverage section. "Do you want to make your own or buy the premade stuff?" I ask.

"Get the kind in the bottle," Brett answers. I grab two bottles of the lemonaide before heading over the check out area. "Can I look at the magazines real quick?"

"Sure, but we've got to hurry. Everyone will be at your house soon."

We walk over to the aisle with books and magazines. I watch as she looks at each of the cover pages before picking one up. "Uh oh."

    "What?" I ask curiously.

"Maybe I should just put this back," she says, her eyes wide.

"Why? If you want it, get it."

"No, I can't," she says, hurredly putting the magazine back and hiding it behind another.

"What is it? Why don't you want to get it?" I question, walking closer to her.

"Nothing. Let's just go checkout," she says, placing her body in front of the magazines.

"No. I want to see it. What's the big deal?" I ask, reaching for the magazine. Picking it up, I peer down at the cover. "You can't be serious."

"Harry, can I talk to you?" I ask, walking into the living room after putting the beverages in the refridgerator.

"Hold on, it's nearly time for a commercial break," he answers, still not looking up from the screen.

"It can't wait," I reply, glaring over at him.

"Fine," he says, finally looking at me. "Vic, you look beautiful."

"Sure," I say, strutting off into my bedroom while Harry follows me.

"What's going on?" he asks after I close the door. I don't answer his question, I simply grab the magazine from my purse and hand it to him. I watch as he looks at it and his eyes go wide. "Vic, I'm sorry."

"Why didn't you tell me, Harry?"

"I didn't want you to get mad."

"Well, good job with that, you've got just what you didn't want."

"Vic, let me explain," Harry pleads.

"What is there to explain? You were with Haley. Is that why you did all of this? Just so you could see her?"

"No. Please, Victoria, let me explain."

I hear the doorbell ring and I know that the rest of the family has arrived. "I don't want to hear it," I say, stalking out of the room.
