emma's perspective

I felt like my Sunday afternoon had been spent well enough considering I've done nothing much all day but record with Will. And I have to say that I've actually enjoyed myself for once.

Being apart of the 'model world' or 'influencer community' can be very stressful at times as constantly you have to post and advertise, going to shoots, meetings and campaigns and be constantly around other models and influencers can make you feel so self conscious about yourself. And I'm exhausted feeling that way all the time because it's like an everyday competition trying to be like or better than somebody else. But I was enjoying my time with Will today which took my mind off everything that brought my confidence down.

After Will had edited and uploaded the video, there had already been so much positive feedback. I've gotten hundreds of messages from both Will's fans and mine on every kind of social media I own which I find crazy that there's so many people out there who enjoy what he does for a living. 'They love you!' He claims excitedly, turning around to me on his chair. I sit up from his bed and look at his computer screen; the video was already at 20k views in under an hour and already thousands of comments. I smile widely and look at Will who was smirking happily. 'Enough of that then. Fancy a bit of food?' He says clapping his hands together.

We settle in for the night with one of Domino's largest pizza's to which we fought for almost twenty minutes who'd be paying for it and of course Will pleaded. We lay on his bed watching a movie while we eat in a comfortable silence until he breaks it. 'I know absolutely nothing about you.' I furrow my eyebrows and giggle at how all of sudden and out of nowhere his question was. 'What would you like to know?' I fix my position to find a more comfortable spot facing him, pizza still in hand. 'Spill everything Cambridge.'

I start on where in Newcastle I had lived with my mum and only to find out that Will and I lived not even a ten minute walk from each other. Which I find quite strange considering almost every body in Whitley Bay knows everyone and everyone's business. We both thought that our parents might have known each other somehow and I knew that I would ask my mum next time I see her. I lead on from that to talk about how I know Alex, Gee, George and Stephen.

As for Alex, I've known him all my life. My Mum is originally from Manchester and my Grandparents also live there, meaning every weekend we would get the train down to Manchester where Alex lived just across the street and we'd hang about the city and sleep in his house and play video games all night. It was like this up until I was about seventeen since Alex had moved to London to start University. I would still go down to his house after he left and I would hang about and talk with his mum all afternoon but after a while it got quite boring as there was nobody to have actual fun with. The whole reason I moved to London was to go to college where I knew I'd be with Alex because we always had this plan of sticking together no matter what - such a cliché, I know.

Onto Gee, I've known her since I was little too. My Mum and her mum were best friends when they were younger and living in Manchester. Before having me, my parents moved to Newcastle but it didn't stop them from seeing one another at all. They drove up and down the country all the time to see each other. I only properly met Gee when I was eight or nine years old. Her mum never really liked to bring her travelling but one day she decided to take her along to meet me and since then we were inseparable.

Along to Stephen, I haven't known him as long as I've known the others. My mum and dad separated when I was fifteen, meaning I was always travelling since my Dad moved to where he was originally from which was Norwich. Stephen and I never really talked that much even though we all hung around in the same group. But no sooner or later till I moved to London that we met each other unplanned in a club I was at with Gee and since both him and I were drunk we went back to mine and you could probably tell where the rest of that went. I didn't spill the full details to Will seeing as it'd be quite awkward but I did tell him that we met at the club but no further then that.

And lastly George, I had only met when I moved into my new apartment in London and he was living on the floor below me. One night when I was trying to study for exams, there was shouting and banging going on downstairs and I obviously went to investigate since I was unable to concentrate. I pounded his front door and you could hear him through the paper thin walls shouting 'For fuck sake.' He was recording a new video for his YouTube and had apologised extremely for the noise. From then on we were just kind of friendly with each other passing through the halls of our apartment block and from social media and he became good friends with Alex so It made us more closer in the end.

Our conversation leads on for what feels like hours until it's about eight at night. 'I think I should get going maybe, you haven't had a break from me yet,' I say stretching out. But the truth was I was so lazy to even leave the comfort of his bed and just Will's company in general. 'Ah no stay if you like I don't mind at all, you can even have the bed and I'll take the couch,' he pleads. I fake contemplating the offer when it was clearly obvious my answer was yes. But I couldn't possibly let him sleep on his own couch in his own home. Only then I'd gotten a text from work;  I had a shoot tomorrow morning for Pretty Little Thing's new campaign.

'As much as I'd love to, I do have a shoot tomorrow morning at eight,' I frown standing up. 'You can still stay. Please?' He quickly follows in my actions but  gets down on his knees and begs. 'Fine,' I laugh and roll my eyes jokingly. 'But I'm not just gonna leave you sleep in your own couch in your own home, just sleep with me.' I turn red with embarrassment realising how awfully desperate I sounded. 'Okay then if you insist you tomato,' he bursts into a fit of laughter and I hit him playfully. It turns into a wrestling match between us on his bed. He manages to pin me down and we both just stare at each other smiling and out of breathe.

The moment was then ruined by my stupid phone ringing. Will stretches over to get my phone for me and sees who it is. His expression turns rather cold, 'Stephen.' He jumps off of me and hops onto the other side of the bed. I confusingly answered the phone not understanding why he's calling me now.

'Everything alright Stephen?'

'Yeah actually, was just wondering if you're doing anything at the moment?'

'I'm at Will's. Why what's up?'
Will looks at me confused while on his phone and I shrug my shoulders in response.

'Just wanted to ask if you'd like to go for a coffee or something. But if you're free tomorrow-'

I cut him off so I could get off the phone fast. 'Yeah okay, I have a shoot till about twelve so after?'

'Perfect I'll be over at two. Okay, um bye,' he says hanging up the phone before I even got to say goodbye.

'He wants to go for coffee tomorrow and I don't know why,' I say to Will who looked curious as to why Stephen called. 'Probably just wants to chat about last night eh?' I nod in agreement and yawn straight afterwards. I was tired from nothing all day, but it was worth not doing anything. 'Here take these to sleep in,' Will says, runs up to his wardrobe and grabs a pair of grey joggers and his very own black shovel hoodie.  I go to the bathroom and throw them on and I soon feel way comfier. I take in the scent of his jumper - a really strong scent of aftershave but it was a nice aftershave. Straight away I jump under the covers next to Will who is ready for bed - top off and scrolling on his phone with the light off. The city of London is very much visible from his bed and I stare in awe never realising how pretty London looked at night.

I lean my head on his shoulder as he scrolls through Twitter on his phone. He adjusts himself and cuddles into me a bit more so we're closer together. I study his features; his sharp jawline to his soft brown eyes, to his stubble from not shaving this morning to his fluffy brown hair.  While doing so, I feel my eyes begin to get heavy and I slowly drift into a light sleep - only to feel Will's arm draped around my waist and I hear his voice in a gentle whisper, 'Goodnight Emma.' He turns off his phone placing it under his pillow and no sooner than later were we both out like a light.
