Once it's time for the plan, all of the Patriots file out of their hideout and into the streets of Lake. My gaze then turns above as I see Day on the JumboTrons. He is sitting in a room guarded by soldiers. From what I read from the books, before someone gets executed they are shown on the JumboTrons for everyone in the sectors to see. Of course he's sitting there, I remember him saying he didn't want to entertain or cause a scene to the people. I sigh as we continue on our way throughout the streets. I'm surprised by how the time flew by. Apparently I've been in this book for quite some time already.

Some of the other hackers lead me to another hideout. This time, it's in an abandoned storage container located on the outskirts of the Lake sector. One of the hackers, which I didn't catch her name, shows me a room filled with all sorts of technology.

It's pretty funny knowing they all think this is funded by the Colonies when it's truly not. I wish I could tell them now but, I have to keep the story line going even though it kills me not saying anything. Maybe I can use this as an advantage and make some pretty funny remarks. Like when we get to 'that part' in Champion.

I settle into a chair that is surrounded by an array of bright LED screens. The light from the computers bombard my vision causing me to seen splotches of blue and green when I look away. As my eyes adjust to the sudden light, the hacker-girl shows me all the ropes with the security system. She shows me the time and tells me to not disable the cameras until she gets a signal from Razor. I nod my head firmly and decide to take this moment to just think.

I'm still confused how I managed to get inside a book. A literal book. How is that even possible? And is time frozen in the 'real world' or is there a worldwide search for me? I cringe at the thought of my mom frantically calling my name. I wish I could tell her I was okay if that was the case.

My lips tug to a frown at that thought. I swat the thought away and try to focus on the plan. I really hope they added more con soldiers so John doesn't have to give himself up. If Day has both brothers, maybe he wouldn't hate the Republic so much. Obviously he still will hate the Republic until Anden releases Eden but, I hope that doesn't change the plans. Maybe if John lives then there won't be 'that part' in Champion. My head aches realizing how much the story could change if just one person lives. I can do this Beth, maybe the story should be changed just a bit. I just need to keep it on track for the most part.

My thinking is quickly stopped once I see the hacker-girl talk into her earpiece. She turns to me and nods her head. I know exactly what to do now.

I scramble up from where I once sat. Adjusting myself into the chair I begin to enter in the URL I have been given. I type each letter carefully, making sure to not have any errors. The plan needs to run smoothly and we don't need some idiot like me to mess it all up.

I take a deep breath. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. My fingers remain tense and steady. Each one typing in the codes of each camera. I sit with my back straight. If I slouch, I could easily miss a key on the keyboard, later missing a letter of the code. After what feels like an eternity, I hear a faint ding from the computer. Perfect. All the cameras are disabled. I remove my hands from the keyboard. Each finger almost swollen from typing so fast. I tilt my head back and turn to the hacker-girl. She smiles at my work then announces, "We have to leave. Now."

I stumble out of the chair as we head out of the storage container. Her pace quickens and I can see her breathing heavy as we sprint our way over to Batalla. I look up to see a helicopter. I smile knowing what will happen next.

The two of us make our way to where Batalla Hall is located and I feel my mind and body go frantic. Each muscle in my body ready for any surprise. My mind calculating like June's. Everything seems to be going to plan. But just when I think it is I see someone walk out into the courtyard of Batalla wearing a blindfold. Oh no. "Hey! You!" I yell to the hacker-girl. "Stay here I need to do something." Her face turns confused. "But we have to stick to the plan!"

"Not right now we can." Is all I say before being swallowed by a crowd of people and soldiers.

Their guns should be reactivated anytime now. I have to be swift and fast.

With all my force I push people away, even soldiers, as I make my way toward the execution yard. My feet hit hard and firm against the pressed-down grass. I notice some soldiers see me as they make their way towards my location. I see them draw their guns. I have to move fast, no time to waste. I can't believe I'm risking my life for a goddamn book character, oh well I love the series too goddy much.

"John!" I yell. "Duck!" He notices me and listens to my commands. With my quick-thinking he dodges a bullet that starts to travel towards him. More then follow turning this into an impossible obstacle course.

I duck and slide across the grass, my clothes now smell like the earth and are covered with a sheet of dirt and dust. I don't care though.

I jolt up again and grab onto John's arm as we make our way across the yard. I hear ringing of gunshots around me as they mess with my hearing. John's grasp on my arm doesn't loosen. We make our way through the crowds where people are now anxiously grabbing stashes of Notes that is being dropped from above.

Soldiers surround us now and my instincts kick in. One tries to shoot but I run behind him and kick this head causing it to jerk back as he falls down. John is busy flinging around another one who came into contact with the bunch.

I feel an arm on my shoulder. I whip around and become face-to-face with another soldier. His face is angry and his eyes filled with shock. I use this to my advantage and decide on grabbing his other arm and twisting it upward and then using my leg to kick his back onto the ground. I jolt my head to John as we both seem to have knocked them out. They must be new recruits, anyone can take them down. I laugh at how lucky we ended up being; having to fight a bunch of rookies.

John looks at me and signals to start moving as I see the faint glimmer of motorcycles in my view. There are far less guards here but we still have to maneuver our way through Batalla. It feels as if I'm doing some awkward dance throughout the yard but I don't mind, who cares if I look stupid.

I see some familiar faces from the Patriots' hideout and also Day's long blonde hair. I seen June on a motorcycle right next to him. God I ship them so much it hurts.

I see two motorcycles with one seat left, perfect for John and I. I hop onto one that a girl is driving as John hops onto the one next to me. I see Day glance over to see his brother. His face confused. He must've thought John gave himself up. Day then shifts his attention towards me and I can see the realization in his face. I turn away and shield my eyes from the wind as each motorcycle glides against the fierce winds. Some rain even starts to trickle from the sky.

I did it. I think. I actually did It! I smile as Batalla hall moves farther and farther away from us.
