Dad finished his speech walking up to me , he leaned in to hug me " step into my office" he whispered my heart dropped. We walked away into a secluded room him closing the door behind.
" when I told you to get on this case I didn't think you really be on it , but how naïve of me you my son I've always expected you to be on top of everything you do" dad spoke " so tell me what do you know" he asked I cleared my throat " I know there's sex trafficking going on at that strip club" I answered carefully dad nodded pouring himself a drink " is that it ?" He asked " yeah that's it" " nothing about me being apart of it"
In a straight face making sure I watch body language number 1 rule " no I haven't why would you be apart of it" I answered confused " we're playing that game huh ok tell me why your parading that whore around your family" again as confused " whore?" Dad was being to get angry
"ANDRE JAMAL DAVIS STOP BULL SHITTING" he yelled slamming down his fists " dad I'm confused your throwing darts hoping they stick you have to be specific on what your talking about" dad sat back in his chair pushing a button " bring it in"
The door swung open BoiRonni walks in with a beat up Queenie. It took every bit of me not to rush to her, I had to keep my composure " this whore do you know her" he asked " yes I do know her we met at the tiddy pop and we kinda got something going on" which is technically the truth " has she told you anything" asked Ronni " told me what , what that tongue do, boy the way she wrap it around my" dad cut me off while Queenie eyes widen for what I was about to say " ANDRE" he yelled " dad tell me what's going on"
" she said she told you everything about Ann and the sex trafficking that I'm apart of it your dad is apart of it" Ronni said " come to think of it she during intercourses she started crying talking about Ann being dead , I told her I'm not paying her to cry if she wanted to put in a confession she'd have to come into the station. She came but only flirted around" which again is a truth with a sprinkle of a lie
" then why are you lying to your mother about her being your girlfriend" dad asked " she so happen to be at my house when mom called and heard her in the back , I didn't wanna say say she was some random girl so I lied" truth
" now I've told you the truth I'm waiting on answers on why your giving us the third degree" dad let out a sigh "then tell me this" dad pulls out a flash drive"why was this flash drive with all my business happenings on it" I looked at the flash drive " I left my flash drive and the house I must have picked up the wrong one it wasn't until I plugged it up I realized it wasn't mine"
Dad stood up " dad just tell me what's going on" I asked " we were going broke because the hospital bills were through the roof my campaign was starting I need quick money fast. Ronni who is one of my frat brothers came to me with an idea that I didn't agree with bat the time"
Ronni perked up " let's sell my girls for a profit , he said" ronni frowned "that's not true" he said " I agreed we created these fundraisers to fund the business. Your mother was saved our money is up I became mayor ... I tried to get out of it because I knew it would look good in my but but RONNI TOOK IT TOO FAR" he yelled
"WHAT I TOOK IT TOO FAR ANN GOING TO SAY SOMETHING YOUR THE ONE WHO TOLD ME TO TAKE CARE OF IT" yelled Ronni " YEAH NOT CUT HER HEAD OFF I WANT YOU TO SCARE HER" Ronni let go of Queenie to point the gun at Dad. I looked at her to go for the door. "TELL THE TRUTH JAMES TELL HOW YOU RAPED HER , THEN SHOT HER IN THINKING SHE WOULD DIE BUT SHE DIDNT SO YOU GOT SCARED AND HACKED HER HEAD OFF TO GET RID OF THE BODY THATS WHAT YOU DID JAMES"
"TELL THE TRUTH OR ILL SHOOT" dad looked at Ronni as soon as he said " OK I DID IT IT WAS ME" Queenie ran for the door ran out , Ronni let go of dad to go after her I jumped in front of him.
Queenies pov
This hallway seems very long as I ran down back to the public eyes , when I bump into miss. Ruby , " oh my lord child what happened to you" she questioned " MISS.RUBY IM SO SORRY BUT WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE EVERYONE IS IN" YELLING FILLED THE AIR as we both looked back to see Andre in the hallway still fighting ronni with the gun , James eventually walks out to see us in the hallway as well
Miss. Ruby walked forward I tried to stop her " WHAT IS GOING ON" Andre and ronni stopped fighting as James stepped forward " baby everything I've done I did it for you" he said " what do you mean" " I stole money just for us" I could see tears welling in her eyes " James what why would you do that" James stepped closer to her " because I couldn't live with out you that I couldn't be mayor without out you by my side but I realized..." he leaned in to kiss her forehead " you have only been in my way"
James pulled out a gun shooting her in the chest twice. The three of us watching gasped as miss ruby went down, Andre let out a scream. As I turned to run for help the last thing I heard from James " future senator looses wife during shooting ... that will definitely bring me up in the polls" then I heard Andre tackle James. As I continue running I heard another gunshot Andre screaming stopped . I stood in my tracks knowing he's probably dead , I let out a small sobb. I ran out into the crowd screaming HELP HELP . which alerted everyone the police rushed in. Zac ran over to me " Queenie what happened"
"HE SHOT THEM HE SHOT THEm" I screamed frantically "WHO" he yelled I pointed to where the office is . The police all rushed over there , Zac told one of the officers to escort me outside into one of the cars.
I watched as people pour out the building, I waited to see if one of these people would be Andre. Suddenly I see a gurney with a black body bag , I knew that had to been miss ruby. A tear fell. But then anothercane out with a second body bag my heart dropped "NOO NOO NOO" I cried something told me to lookup
Andre is also on a gurney with oxygen mask on his face. I burst out of the car to the ambulance. " ma'am your not allowed on" Andre lifted his fingers to say something the paramedic removed his mask " sssshhheess mmmyy girlfriend" my heart melted as they let me on board
The whole ride to the hospital Andre stared into my watery eyes , as I held his hand. A tear fell from his face, I could feel his hand losing its grip on mine , " Andre you gotta fight you have to be strong for me ... and our baby"
More tears fell from his eyes... yes I'm pregnant but this is not how I wanted to tell him
We finally arrived to the hospital they immediately rushed Andre to the ER
shortly Zac walked in then Jermey as well , they both asked what exactly is going on I told them everything. Jermey sat back stunned, " I know ruby is dead ...who was in the second body bag"
Zac looked up " boiRonni, James shot him too" Ronni May have not been the best person however when he wanted to be he was a good man that went down the wrong path . So that's how I'll remember him
Jermey said as for James he's now in custody. " with your evidence the charges are 3 counts of second degree murder, money's laundering, sex trafficking, and attempted murder... that's if Andre makes it" said Zac
Tears began flowing Jermey sat next to me rubbing my back trying to comfort me but even he wasn't doing too well trying to keep it together.
We waited for what seemed like all night when finally the doctor came back out " follow me please." The doctor led us to the X-ray room with Andre Xrays on the board " you see here is where the bullet was , by his lower back, had that bullet gone even further, Andre would've been paralyzed for the rest of his life." Explain the doctor
" but he's not , we were able to remove the bullet with ease ,with a little therapy he should be able to recover in no time." We all yelled out a cry we were so happy. Until the doctor looked at me " the paramedics said on the way here you revealed your pregnant" my heart dropped " uhh yes I am" I said truthfully
" we need to run tests to make sure your baby is alright"
Jermey and Zac looked at me in shocked as I walked out the X-ray room
