"Calum, this is cheating," I said in a strangely calm voice. Calum scoffed. "How is that cheating?" Calum demanded. I rolled my eyes. "Your... THING is shown to another girl, Calum!" I yelled. "Well it's not that big of a deal!" Calum yelled back.
"Don't yell at me!"
"Well then stop yelling at me!"
"I'm a nice person and am very hurt right now so I'm allowed!"
Perrie cleared her throat. "Can both of you please stop yelling?" Perrie asked softly. I stepped back. "I can't even do this, Cal. You cheated in my book. You hurt me. Now, I'm going to hurt you, and leave." I spun on my heel and walked away quickly, slamming the door behind me. I crashed into someone's chest. "Whoa, love, what's the rush?" I looked up to see Liam looking down at me, smiling kindly. I sniffed, fighting tears. His cheerful face dropped and he traded his smile for a worried frown. "What's wrong? Trouble with Calum?" Liam guessed. I nodded and looked down, refusing to let him see me cry; I never cried in front of anyone except Alley and my cousin, Noah.
"It's okay, you don't have to talk about it. How 'bout just a hug and I'll come to your room for a movie night?" Liam suggested. I bit my lip and glanced at him, nodding. He smiled another small, kind smile and wrapped me in his arms. I finally gave in and cried violently into his chest. "Shh, it'll be okay," he soothed, patting my back. I sniffed. "Liam, can we go back to my room now?" I asked between sobs. Liam sighed. I pulled away and looked up at him, folding my arms. "Please?" I asked softly. He nodded. "Want me to call the girls?" Liam asked as we started to walk, but I shook my head. "I just want you and Niall with me."
Liam nodded. "If that's what you want." I smiled thankfully up at him. "Do you wanna tell Sophia so if paps start anything, she'll know the truth?" I asked as we reached my door. He pulled out his phone. "I'll call her now," he said, "You go ahead and go inside. I'll call Niall, too." I bit my lip and unlocked the door. I shut the door behind me as Liam started talking to Sophia.

I sniffed while the credits for "The Notebook" rolled up the TV screen. Liam sighed and turned it off. "I knew I shouldn't have let you watch that," he said. I shrugged. "Liam, don't misunderstand my actions. I didn't love Calum; I didn't know him long enough to say I do. I mean, did. I just liked him a lot and I thought he liked me, too. That's why I'm so hurt."
Liam nodded. "It's okay," he said, "I understand what you mean." I bit my lip, contemplating whether or not I should tell him about my and Harry's previous friendship. Liam bent to grab another movie. "We are not watching another love tragedy," he said to me sternly. "Then what?" I asked. He grinned and held up the case he was holding and I rolled my eyes. "Liam, we are not having a Toy Story marathon!" Liam laughed and put the first movie in. "C'mon you said you love these kinda movies." I chuckled.
"Hey, Liam? Can I tell you a couple things?" He looked at me, puzzled; I'd already told him what Calum had done. "I... Me and Calum... Well, after the concert, we..." Liam held up his hand. "I already know what you're gonna say and I don't wanna hear it. I already wanna kill the guy, Elaine. I don't need any more motives." I looked away. "Well, the other thing was I used to be like this," I crossed my first two fingers, "with Harry. When we were kids we were I inseparable." Liam's eyes widened. "Seriously? What happened," Liam asked.
I shrugged. "I honestly don't know. He swore before his X Factor audition we'd stay friends and keep in touch. We did at first, then we'd only talk when he would come home. Then he just stopped talking to me. I attributed to the busy schedule of being in a greatly popular boy band and knowing so many people, but the other night when he commented about me being fat and acting like he didn't even know me, I changed that theory." Liam suddenly looked nervous.
"Liam," I said, "what'd you do?" Liam hesitated. "Well, Niall wasn't available so I kinda... I called Harry. He'll be here soon." I jumped up. "Dang it, Liam! Why didn't you tell me?" I yelled. "I'm kinda fragile right now. I really don't have the time, energy, or effort to apply additional sensitivity to someone. I really can't even deal with him right now." Liam looked at something behind me. "He's behind me, isn't he?" I asked, rolling my eyes and turning around. And, of course, he was.
"Why do you hate me so freaking much?" Harry asked in a monotone voice that scared me slightly. I sighed. "I don't hate you Harry. I don't have the time nor do I have the energy to hate someone I don't give two pieces of porpoise poop about," I growled. "I know," Harry whispered.
