The human brain, at some point in its ontogeny, 'gives rise to' SELF, and the somewhat-destructive concept, that self is 'apart from' the creation it senses; ever more-powerful digital NETWORKS, threaten to become self-aware, and become involved in a political struggle with humankind.

There are linguistic-problems with all these apocalyptic/paranoid prognostications; misusing the 'term' artificial intelligence leads to some pretty-unlikely scenarios; technically, AI implies the ability for the 'program' to 'learn,' and to rewrite its algorithm, based on such data-processing; this has only been partially-achieved, and is unrelated to common AI-devices, already in our homes.

If robotic-machines are to eliminate their rivals, and survive into an uncertain future, they must 'learn' to reproduce themselves[that leap of creation has definitely NOT been achieved]; they''d also need an army of robot-miners, scraping the dry-lakebeds in the Atacama[where China already has living-employees, living in a 'compound,' and has acquired valuable 'water rights' in the driest-climate in the Western Hemisphere; bring back the Monroe Doctrine!], for the lithium/commodity, needed to access the 5g-network.
Starting with MORRIS, his chief means of 'knowing,' involve those six/years of Hebrew school, and whatever accessible/useable[https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/69709/is-useable-preferred-in-certain-regions-or-just-an-alternate-spelling-of-usa] knowledge is found in TORAH. In my STORY, an important source, for a knowledge-starved adolescent, was Morris's relationship[consciously-developed] with the young rabbi[constantly in-contention with the two authority-figures, in Morris's developing world]; we all[most, OKAY?] learn about the world, from our Father[or another top-ranked authority-figure]; often, when we get our hormones, we begin to distrust the nature of that data-rich relationship, and may 'adopt' a MENTOR, to get the whole picture.
TUCKER[my heteronym; my experience/his voice & actions] is a special-case, where MORRIS typifies young Jewish boys; Tucker Bedford, when we meet him, in Athens, in 1969, is in a fragile, developmental-stage, when he falls in love with a sabra. There is an element[in TUCKER's current recollection of his first-love] here of WHAT HE WAS TOLD/what he WASN'T told; even among ACADEMICS, there is this epistemological-quandry, which distorts the 'output' considerably, and affects the destiny of many[outside the WALLS of academia].
